De Rossi doesn't really stay there. He's more of a Yaya Toure - a box-to-box midfielder.

Some people say we need a top-quality stopper, others a playmaker, others a box-to-box, any of three would be nice tbh, ideally we would find a player who was solid defensively, comfortable deeper than attacking midfielder and have a bit of flair/creativity about him. But they are few and far between. Just need a top quality player in that department that brings whatever world-class attribute has brought them success. A presence which doesn't make you worried about losing midfield in every big game.

It was unfortunate that Cleverley got injured because he worked well with Anderson. Anderson and Fletcher just doesn't seem to work, then for the second half it was Anderson on his own which is just surrendering the game.

Ferguson has neglected this area of the team, centre midfield has been one of the weakest areas of the team for quite a while and he relied on Scholes for years. I'd like to see Jones given a proper go at defensive midfield, against Liverpool he didn't even play there, he played more attacking than that.

I know youtube videos don't show everything, but it does seem like De Rossi is always just in front of the defence from watching a couple of videos. I wasn't meaning I used the video to see if he was any good

So Vidic has retired from international football. I hope Rio retires soon too.. since thats probably going to be his best chance at reclaiming his consistency again.

And pray that Rooney retire too since after all as most England fans would say he was shite at the last World Cup so whats the point in having him there?!
