Taker4ever difference is Jones is 19. Evans is 23 and should know a lot more position wise and how to take the ball and the man, but he's such an idiot.

Evans has only been a regular for United since last season tbh, he was only a bit-part player before that.

Yes, he has some bad games, but I don't think he's worthy of the sort of pariah tag some people have labelled him with, because he's also played his part in some fantastic United performances, but because he's never highlighted on MOTD people tend to forget about it.

I don't often post on this forum but lurk around it quite often, and it's taught me one thing - football fans are useless as predicting the true potential of players. I remember a few years back when it was common knowledge that David Bentley was the "natural" successor to David Beckham My point is that Evans may very well come good yet, to write him off at such an early stage in his career is nonsensical.

But as a defender you got til about 28 or 29 and then you rapidly decline. There are some exceptions of course but your weaknesses such as lack of pace become evident then. That leaves him with just a few years to vastly improve, which I don't think he will.
