Wouldn't go near the bloke, too old, would want a stupid wage for this league, injured too often and obviously can't be doing much good if Hull have sacked him.

He's nearly 33, played 39 games in 3 years at Fulham and then 23 games 2.5 years at Hull. If he's on 45k a week now, even if he takes over a 50% paycut that's still going to be around 20k a week which, a lot of West Ham players aside, will be 1 of the highest in the league. Considering how bad his fitness has been and also the fact that he's obviously been a bit of a twat at Hull, it'd be a massive risk for anyone.

Only worth it if he was on something like 10k a week.

Surprised by the start that Charlton have made, know they made a few decent signings but I thought it would take a bit longer for them all to gel as a team.

Not sure if we're still in for a new striker, kinda hoping we're not as Rickie and Connolly are playing quality up top together at the moment. Only concern is that Connolly won't stay fit for the whole season, not signing a striker would be a bit risky. Just don't want us spending £6m+ on either Maynard or Rodriguez and us feeling obligated to play them due to the fee.

Someone who can come in and be happy as back up would be fine, someone on loan from a Premiership club who just wants to make an impression if given a chance. Much rather have a young striker looking to prove a point that some old prick looking for one last pay day.
