Lucas has been average. Started well and I was happy with his runs and cover, did his job well. But on the other side of things he should have fed Carroll up front earlier and he's giving away silly freekicks in positions which can prove dangerous. Adam has been epic though.

Carragher doesn't look as sharp as usual, but he's doing well.

Downing has impressed me so much. A type of player we haven't had for a 5-6 years or so.

I admire Henderson's tenacity. He's impressing me too.

Suarez goes without saying, unlucky with the penalty but it should have been retaken anyway, there were about 3 players in the box.

Which brings me to my next point. Yellow card for Richardson and a penalty that should have been retaken. Inconsistencies. I understand that it's the beginning of the season, but you can't bend the rules to accommodate that. Shocking penalty from Suarez tho, who started slow.
