Confirmed In Brad Friedel - Aston Villa - Free The 40 year old US goalkeeper arrives at the Lane (allegedly after turning down West Brom and Liverpool) presumably for one last payday before his retirement on a two year deal. Friedel's arrival asks a few questions - will he be first choice or second, and what of Cudicini? Seems like an odd transfer at the moment. Crisitan Ceballos - Barcelona - Free The promising youngster arrives after spending 7 years in the famous Barcelona academy. Another promising youth player to go with Caulker and Townsend, will be interesting to see how he develops. Souleymane Coulibaly - Siena - Undisclosed Promising young forward comes in after doing exceptionally well for Ivory Coast at the U17 World Cup to add to our promising youth side. Very high hopes I have. Confirmed Out Stipe Pletikosa - Spartak Moscow - End of Loan Our 3rd choice keeper was only to make up the numbers of our squad and since Friedel's coming in, we no longer had a need for him. I honestly cannot remember him playing once for us. Jonathan Woodgate - Released - Free The winner of the Carling Cup 07/08 (ty Danny) has sadly not been able to negotiate a pay as you play deal, and therefore the injury prone lad will be released. 	Gotta love the Spurs fans. Instead of calling Modric a money grabber and saying he is just after more wages, why don't you just accept the fact that he wants to move to a bigger club where he will be competing in the Champions League every season. I'm not saying money doesn't come into it because it does, but I'd be very surprised if that's the main reason for him wanting to leave.

Secondly: We're not going to let our best player go to a league (and close) rival. That would be stupid. 	Bigger club was the wrong word, still you cant ignore the fact your fighting it out for Europa League places and Chelsea are consistently in the Champions league and challenging for the title. As I've said before I think you should keep him, he's on a 6 year contract,and your best player so you have no reason to sell. When I said You should accept the fact he wants to move to a bigger club that are in the CL I meant you should realize that is his reason for wanting to leave instead of calling him a money grabbing bleep. Why should he worry about burning bridges? if he wants CL football which I'm sure he does then he has to move.

I accept that they're in a better position than us at the moment, but it just pisses me off when I get repeatedly told they are. I have some faith in Levy now, he's effectively putting his head on the line here. We're in a better position than we were when Berba/Keane were sold, Levy knows that this really defines our next few years. I have faith. Oh, I accept he might want to leave. 	If we had a striker last season we would of been in the Champions League again this season. Of course we will struggle to compete their every season. Especially with Man City's cash, Not really to worried about Liverpool if they keep buying every british player for ridiculous prices Really if he left i wouldn't begrudge him but hope its not to someone in the premiership.
