Manchester City vs Arsenal

2nd place Manchester City host 3rd place Arsenal in a game which would certainly confirm City as major title challengers if they were to win, having already overcome Chelsea at Eastlands, free scoring Arsenal will find it no easy game on the back of a 5-1 demolition of Shakhtar.

City have (or will have ) had European excertions too so it will be interesting to see which side can recover best from their midweek games, with Arsenal having one extra day to recover than the Blues.

Possible Line-Ups:

City: Hart, Boateng, Toure, Lescott, Bridge, Johnson, Toure, Barry, De Jong, Milner, Tevez

Arsenal: Fabianski, Sagna, Squillaci, Djourou, Clichy, Rosicky, Nasri, Song, Fabregas, Arshavin, Chamakh

Overlooked again

Hope Arsenal win, not too arsed what happens though, there'll be hissy fits from Arsenal fans on here should they lose though.

I'm not sure on this one. We've looked convincing lately, and I fancy us to win on form (as City were *bleep*ing awful against Blackpool).

I would take a draw, as a loss would really piss me off. But we can play well, and we also have a decent referee that doesn't bottle it when there's pressure about.

Still, I could never bet on this game. I couldn't put money on it, that's for sure!

A win by at least a 2 goal margin. Never really threatened bar some late pressure.

Like I said in the BPL thread, I'm not looking forward to this one.

Can see City winning. Just hope Adebayor doesn't score.

I see a narrow City win, City aren't as professional as Chelsea and with three defensive mids the attackers will struggle to create. However, Arsenal have not been the best recently and Fabregas will not be as prominent as he usually is, against those three defensive mids

Adebayor will start, and his height/passion to beat us is all that worries me. Tevez will be marked out the game by Song, and even though De Jong will crunch Fabregas, I'm confident Nasri will run the show.

Also, I expect this to be the game where Chamakh gets booked for diving.

Don't think it's as easy as that, Tevez is on top form. Song plays as DM and Tevez plays up front, so if Song man marks him then thet'll be gaps left open in midfield for other City players to take advantage off.
