Willing to stick by him if he can concentrate on his positional play and defending. Not a bad player by any means, could be a great player. Argentina cap at 20 years old. RM- Yossi Benayoun. Offers creativity and flair. Solid player, pops up with a few goals. CM- Javier Mascherano. Good player, can be a liability at times but gives his all in the games and is one of the best in the world in his position. Argentina captain. CM- Steven Gerrard. Put him back into a deep role where he can influence the play, much better player there. LM- Maxi Rodriguez. Liked what I've seen off him and he's still only settling into the league. AM- Alberto Aquilani. Considered a flop by many people, I believe he should have another season at least to prove his worth. ST- Fernando Torres. Don't need to say anything. I'd love us to go out and get a RM and a LM but it won't happen. ~SM I think Livrpool should concentrate on getting a striker,good back up for Torres is a must( that's if he's still there next season). N gog is a quality prospect but he shouldn't be starting, but he does if Torres gets injured.

	Right now I'd rather play Spearing then Gerrard. Spearing would at least have the bottle and guts to give it a fair whip. Gerrard seems spineless at the moment. Besides I feel we play a lot better without him now anyway. Too much revolves around him, and he demands too much. I think our players fear him, which shows his importance, but when you're not effectively important and are halting things, it doesn't work. Gerrard takes all the freekicks, most of them useless, and I think every player knows not to argue with him, which I feel is stupid. He has an authority over players, and he has his favourites (likewise Carragher). I can understand not thinking a player is good, but to constantly criticise them when others and yourself are making mistakes is beyond me. Not a captain at all. -------------------

	Jay Spearing is shit. Theres no way we should be looking to go out and sell Steven Gerrard, (i.e offering him to clubs) but if Real are silly enough to offer £30million for an out of form player nearing his 30s, we really should at least consider it.

	Ok... tell me what Gerrard offers at the moment? Heart? Hell no. Passion? Forget it. Desire? He claims it but he hasn't with us. At least a young scouser (like Gerrard of yesteryear) would give it a bloody try. There's no excuse for walking about on a pitch when you're paid as much as he is. There was no effort, and don't deny it. I'd rather play a less technically gifted player with heart then him at the moment. Look at Fletcher, definitely not a brilliant technical player, but lots and lots of effort, and he played amazing. I don't know if you two are the same, but I feel we need to stop protecting Gerrard of what he has done and achieved. Now is what matters, and he isn't proving up to it lately. The point I seen before I'll repeat, when did you last see Gerrard have a good game? -------------------

	I don't think it will be long before Gerrard get back to his usual performance. You guys still have the Europa League to fight for and I'm sure Gerrard will strive for it. Torres on the other hand, you guys need to keep him happy. If Torres doesn't achieve anything for liverpool this season or the next, would not be surprise at all if he wants to move. I was disappointed with Gerrard's lack of bite in the game yesterday. He rarely got in the face of the opposition or the referee, imo.

	I just really cannot remember seeing a Gerrard 'performance' for some time. Remember 5, 6 years ago? A young Gerrard, sliding into tackles, the tackles that would inspire fans, and getting the ball back. Hunting down defences and attacks. Playing amazingly long passes, trying blistering shots from range. I just have not seen that (in my view) for ages, and that's why I have said what I said before. -------------------

David Fairclough said on SSN earlier that Rafa has to let the players off the leish and by advancing Aqua up the pitch and letting Gerrard dictate play could be the answer. Richardlfc, im saying that we should not be trying to sell Gerrard (aka Alonso 2 summers ago) but if a (foreign) club comes in with a big offer then we should at least consider it. If we are saying we should cut your losses on him then you are very,very fickle.

	I reckon, come the end of the season, Rafa or, god forbid, the new manager will show Stevie performances from this season. That should show him how below par he's been.
