This article got me thinking what my team of the decade would be. I have been following football for the whole of the noughties, and I imagine the majority of you guys have too, so we should have some interesting choices in here.

So yeah, post your teams guys. I'm not going to force anyone to give reasons for their players chosen, although it would be ineteresting to hear your motivations (I won't be as half way through doing it I pressed backspace which took me to the previous screen, which meant I lost everything ). You don't even have to post a team, feel free to mearly comment on other people's XIs.

Most are pretty self explanatory. I put Ronaldo and Henry up front cause I think they've been 2 of the greatest strikers in our generation easily. Both ooze talent, and their finishing was/is quite phenomenal at times. I also put Lampard in because I think he's one of the key reasons Chelsea did so well, even with their influx of money he was always the creative backbone of the side.

Lampard ahead of the likes of Xavi, Makelele, Keane, Petit ?

Yep. I've seen Lampard, Xavi, Makelele, Keane and Petit live and Lampard is the one who truly left an impression when I was watching him which is why I put him in. They're all incredible players but I greatly admire Lampard personally. If I was to remove Lampard it would be Xavi going into that slot definitely, its just personal preference tbh.

As did i about Roberto Carlos, Nedved and Del Piero

I can't think of a whole team atm but Zidane and Henry are two definites. How anyone would choose Van Nistelrooy or Raul over him is beyond me.

3 Italians and 3 Brazilians probably shows the success those 2 nations have *bleep*ing enjoyed over this decade.
