I decree it's fair, but I think the suspended part should last longer, that'd teach him to keep his trap shut.

Be interesting to see what happens next time. Next time, in theory he should be given at least a 4 match ban & a further 2 match suspended sentence..

Won't work to keep him quiet as Fergie will forever say and do exactly what he wants to.

Still, nice to see them at least handing out a ban to him.

This being a ban for the comments to Wiley which I personally think is justified. I don´t think it should be longer but they say you should have repect for the ref´s, this is the right step in doing so and should follow this same ruling whoever says something next.

You mean in the Chelsea game? I think he had every right to say what he did as at the end of the day he was only anwsering the question that was put his way.

This fine and touchline ban imposed on Alex Ferguson is such a joke. Fergie calls it like he sees it. He was asked to give his thoughts in the post match interview and he did just that. Giving your thoughts on the game involves talking about key decisions that changed the out come of the game, and why those key decisions were made. The FA are far to protective of the referees. I understand that on the field the referee needs to command the respect of the players to control the game, but the post match interview was after the match had finished, so there was need to punish Alex. Everyday players, managers and sometimes even chairmen get criticized, you don't see the FA stepping in then do you? Again I know it all comes back to the ref having to command respect to control the game, but as a referee how can you expect to command respect of players and managers, when your clearly either not fit enough or giving the wrong decisions. As a Red devil I feel we are often victimised by referees and rival fans because were one of the most successful teams in England and have been for a long time, I think a lot of people in football like to hate the winners of this beautiful game.

People generally hate winners, I'll give him that, but victimised is a bit rich.

Ideally the FA would come out and say they'd implement a new rule to prevent this happening in the future but the FA aren't that smart it seems.

The only way to stop Ferguson doing it again though would be to ban him from talking to the media surely? Even then he'd probably start his own blog
