hmm I am thinking, though, it might be better in the special interest section but featured as a sub-forum here if you approve it (which I suspect you'd need to), if this idea even goes ahead. That way it caters for every type of betting and would encompass more communities (mainly talking about the Sports forum).

I'll speak to Redemption before making a thread in the RFS forum just incase betting is a forum they want to steer clear of.

What about having it as a sub-forum of sports rather than special interest... call it the Sports Betting Forum par exemple

Well it's not really our decision, it's the Supers.

I like the individual pages to track our own bets, very nice idea.

Why take away a relevant and decent thread from the forum that was generating discussion in multiple threads?

I did think this when I first read the idea but.. the game ones such as Last Man Standing the NBS and FBG can all easily stay open and the betting thread could well stay open for people that don't gamble much to go in and say oh I've put a tenner on Arsenal this weekend... don't forget until about 6 months ago that thread was dead then me and Chris started posting in it then Andy, Shaun etc all started too as well... it's first thread lasted something like 3 years and we only started posting on it at page 15ish.. so not having it won't do the Football forum much harm tbh... also if anyone that isn't sure about betting has a question rather than going in another forum they could ask in there and if I see it on the top page I'll have a wee gander

I think it will result in less activity but not totally end it.. no reason why any of the games should stop and the Betting Thread can stay alive.. granted it will put a bit of a dent in Rob's charge for 2nd place in the daily PPD's

No but seriously, it will be made with no connection to the Football Forum other than the first people who would start posting in it so doesn't need to be Rob/Dan/Andres.. I think Shaun makes sense if he wants it as it was his idea and he is already Modding hard so is gonna be capable of taking a fledgling forum under his wing and if he doesn't want it...... BM4PROMOTE!!!
