You were definitly watching a different Spearing. He was the one having difficulty finding a Liverpool shirt, his passing was all over the place, he did find he was a bit more towards the end of the game though.

Voronin done alright. Only thing he done wrong really was his missed chance. But at least he is willing to run behind defenders. The rest of our strikers (Torres aside obviously) are always looking to come deep for the ball. He is definitly the best option we have after Torres & Kuyt. Some of his link up play was clever too.

Degan is awful though. Never a professional footballer in a million years, never mind a Liverpool player.

How about McCann and Muamba? McCann can be the old experienced head while Muamba does the work, it'd be like a cop drama. Which'd be relevant as they both robbed a *bleep*ing living at times last year.

I think Cambiasso, and perhaps Joey Barton maybe Kevin Nolan. Both can provide a decent backbone. You know Nolan will be devoted as a lifelong fan

Lucas is good, just needs to stop constantly passing the ball side-ways and be a bit more ambitious with his passing, as he has the ability to pick out some nice passes.

Well, gotta say, he seems to produce some brilliant passes when under pressure. The 50 yard diagonal he played to Babel in the 80th minute today was superb. As was his through ball to Gerrard in the 5-1 win at Newcastle. He has potential, and is being milked so he can use that potential.

Lucas only played the first half didnt he? ... plus Babel was off the field come the 80th minute too?! Only just though.

As for replacements you need look no further than Cambiasso (the player not the neo member, he isnt as good) & Sneijder! Id love that!

I also rather like Ramieres, but he's only just joined Benfica. Pity there isnt no English players available. Id like Cattermole or Noble used in our squad. Think both are better than Lucas & would further add to the CL register.
