I didn't say he was a poor finisher, but it's by no means his best aspect. I'd put RVP, Eduardo and possibly even Adebayor ahead of him in finishing.
Bendtner and Adebayor, the two players who you'd expect to be the best at knocking down balls, are actually at their best when they have the ball at their feet. Neither of them are comfortable with the ball played in to their heads, and prefer to run at players or pass and go.
To be honest, this below looks the sex.
Almunia
Sagna - Toure/Gallas - NEW CB (Bassong, Hangeland, Marchena) - Clichy
Barry
Walcott - Nasri - Fabregas - Arshavin
RVP/Adebayor/Eduardo (Alternating)
And then if we need a more conventional formation, push Barry into Nasris slot and play another CF. Or shift Nasri to the left, Barry in the center and shift Arshavin more central. That formation also leaves two of RVP, Ade and Eddy out, as well as Denilson, Song, Rosicky, Vela, Bendtner.
Arshavin was LM at that time. In fact that's where he's been used this season, which is good when he drifts inside and shoots like against Blackburn. Ironically, he was pants against Liverpool. Didn't get into the game at all, was poor on the ball and didn't track back and help out Gibbs. And yet, he scored 4 goals. Sign of a brilliant player in my opinion. Popped up at the right time twice, one wonder strike, and bust his gut to help out Theo before another immense finish around Reina with his weaker foot.
