UEFA Europa League |
![]() The UEFA Europa League 2009–10 will be the first season under a new name for the competition previously known as UEFA Cup. The final will be played at the HSH Nordbank Arena, home ground of Hamburger SV, in Hamburg, Germany. More info on the Wiki. ------ Whooooop. Aberdeen qualified today and after our Uefa Cup 07/08 run and trips to Dnipro, Madrid and Munich I'm terribly excited. Depending on who wins the Scottish Cup next weekend, Aberdeen will enter in the Second Qualifying Round (If Falkirk win) on the 16th of July or in the Third Qualifying Round (If Falkirk lose) on the 30th of July. Can't wait. At least 1 away trip to come. LOVE IT. So who else is in the Europa League then? Anyone planning on going to their teams games abroad? -------------------

Seeing as the seasons finished, it is next season. Bar the cups of course but they have little bearing on the results. If there's a game in London i might go and see it.

Sligo will hopefully do well, if we put out Motherwell then I would have unlimited bragging rights on the Motherwell fan/fag in my school.
Celtic, after the horrendous display today, Europa League is all we can hope for next season. -------------------

Roma are terrible these days, they have no chance.
Depending on whos in it that is. Villa have a chance but not sure if i can see it happening, Everton are another possibility depending on if they sign anyone next season, would be good to see an English team winning it though. -------------------

They are terrible these days? We didn't have a good chance, but we always perform in UEFA Cup. Not to mention that we beat Milan too earlier today.
and everytime we participate in UEFA Cup, our domestic league performance is always superb (the time where we won Serie A, we were in UEFA Cup). Can't wait for next season. ------------------- quote ValidationI KNEW PG WAS A PEDO

Depends on the CL dropouts as well. We (Rangers) got knocked out the CL last/two seasons ago and ended up dropping into the Uefa Cup, ended up going to the final that year.

It would be funny if Fulham won it, but I do hope they get far in the competition because Roy Hodgson has to a hell of a job there turning them from almost a Championship side to a Europa League side in a year is a great achievement.
I think that the Europa League will be once again be between the German teams and Eastern European teams and possibly the Old Firm because all the teams from the biiger European leagues will conveniently drop out in like February because of more important matters.

Teams I would love Sligo to get in the Europa League first qualifying round.
Helsingborg - Henrik Larsson at the Showgrounds Motherwell - Second least favourite Scottish team who are supported by the person who I hate the most on this Earth, if Sligo beat them I would have a field say of bullying him tbh. Any Northern Irish side in the tournament - As it'd interesting Republic vs Northern Irelands, just like the past... -------------------
