Even still...13 frickin pages!?

I've just been watching the N.Ireland match, and Chris Brunt has one of the sweetest deliveries I've seen. Why Worthington leaves him out sometimes confuses me, because him and Gillespie are lethal on the wings for us. I'm a little disappointed we didn't win, though. Especially with the chance Feeney had, but to keep a clean sheet and boss the game against a team like the Czech's is a good sign. The last two games also prove how much we miss Lafferty, and Davis at this game.

The problem with Brunt though is that he only has a left-foot, but isn't pacy enough to escape tight marking in order to use it. If the opposition close him down and he isn't given the space he needs in order to whip a ball in, then it's better for Worthington to play someone like Paterson or Sproule in that case. However, due to the style of play of our group's opposition, I think he should be starting when fit - none of our opponents play a fast closing down game like teams such as Spain.

Have to agree. Coming from a Sheffield Wednesday fan, I've seen Brunt at his best, and indeed his worst.

But you are right, Brunt has a fantastic delivery.

Easiest chance of the game, and he doesn't even go far post, he goes near post?! What the hell? Wasn't impressed with him or Hunt at all, thought they wasted the ball so much on the wings. Other than that, thought Doyle and Keane ran their asses off, and Whelan was absolutely quality Considering Reid picked up a knock but carried on he was decent, and Dunne and O'Shea are forming an unreal partnership, unfortunately for McShane.
