	Is Carvalho really a world class defender? I'm not having a pop but to me he doesnt ooz with confidence. Personly i can name 10 centre backs i think are better, so can someone tell me how people have put him ahead of the likes of Terry, Ferdinand, Vidic, Cannavaro, Nesta, Carragher and Toure?

	Carvalho is our best defender. He's carried us whenever we didn't have Terry and we haven't lost a league game with him in the side since 06 I think it was. That mistake v United is the first mistake I've ever seen him make. ------------------- Don't ever let anyone tell you you deserve that...

	Carvalho is better than Terry, Carragher, he's a different type of defender to Toure and Vidic but is equally good. Miroslav is a proven worldwide striker, his goalscoring record just proves how worthy he is. Klose is a solid striker but he's hardly a fantastic striker that you'd pay to go and see. The point I was making was that you said it annoyed you that people didn't pick Ashley Cole because they didn't like him* (or called him a prick) then you went and said you haven't got Ronaldo in your team because you don't like him. *correct me if you werent saying that part.

	No not at all, that came after people were solely comparing Evra and Clichy, I was just saying everyone forgets about Cole. 	James Carragher - Terry Pirlo Xavi - Scholes - Iniesta Ronaldo-----------------Messi Torres - Villa James because I reckon he's the best shot stopper in the world. Carra and Terry as they are the two most solid CBs in the world, and are happy to sit back and defend like mad men. Pirlo to sit infront of the 2 man defense for backup, and also to link up with Xavi, Scholes and Iniesta - the best passing and most creative midfield ever when put together. Ronaldo and Messi are obvious, as are Torres and Villa. The mentality is either, 'get the ball off our midfield', or, 'outscore us if you can'. ------------------- Paulie KO1 Pac

	the reason i picked carvalho is purely based on the fact that terry and carvalho IMO are the two best centre half parings in the world right now. there may be better centre halfs than carvalho or terry but i dont think they'd work as well as they two do for chelsea on there day. ------------------- Twitter / The Oval Log
