Ok so with the Olympics coming up I figured we'd need a thread for all the match discussion. I was going to put the womens stuff in here as well but thought it would get to cluttered and confusing. I'll add their groups though if everyone feels that I'm wrong on that though.

As for the tournament itself, I don't think anyone can go past Argentina. They just have a world class squad andd the only team I feel capable of challenging them are Brazil. However with Dunga as coach I don't see that happening.

I really do hope Australia at least get out of the group stage. Bu it will be tough as we are essentially impossibilites to beat Argentina, and Serbia and Ivory Coast are quite good teams at this level also.

Barcelona have won their appeal to prevent Lionel Messi from playing for Argentina in the Olympics football tournament. If I'm honest I think this is plain bollocks and if he wants to play for his country at the Olympics then he should be allowed whether or not the club like it.

Messi is already in Beijing with Argentina training but I'm not sure as to whether Barcelona have recalled him yet.

Werder Bremen's Diego and Rafinha of Schalke, can also be prevented from taking part in the Beijing Games.

Yes, bbc red button thing. The womens football was on this morning, they had two games on at 10 o'clock (I didn't see them) and their where two on at 12:45 (seen most of them).

Does anybody know when Argentina play? Brazil play tommorow morning at ten o'clock and their is no way i will be up to watch that, but Netherlands play at 12:45 so i'll watch that.

The womens was also on Eurosport as well as BBC's red button which is handy if either plays up.

ye if Barca can't get through a champs league qulifier without Messi there not as good as they think they are.

Australia vs Serbia tonight. Should be a decent game. We desperately need a win here if we want to progress, because the Argentina game is mission impossible. I am very very wary of the Serbs though as they are a quality side at this level.
