Surprised nobody has mentioned but, I saw on SSN last night that Robinho has said he wants to stay at Madrid. Gutted.

Probably because Scolari said he's going to work with the players for at least a month before he'll know what system suits. Without knowing the system, he can't know what players we need.

Berbatov to United - Although it is looking likely it is important to acknowledge that Ferguson did say in an interview recently that he will be looking for younger players, at 27 i wouldnt put Berbatov in that category but he has obviously been an admirer for some time as he tried to sign him when he was at Leverkusen. However, if he does go, and it is for the £27 million that is being suggested then i feel that will mean that Ronaldo will go. Net spending under the Glazers for United has never been about 8 or 9 million. And so far this summer United have only sold Pique for around £6 million. Plus there will be around £5 million for Tevez for one more season, I would estimate around £10 million for Nani and Anderson. And perhaps also another 5 - 10 million for Hargreaves, Carrick, Rooney due to the Champions League success next year. And unless the Glazers are going back to what they originally promised with a guaranteed 25 million a year and a 25 million superstar pot every few years then i feel there will definitely be some more players leaving United. Saha, Silvestre may bring in around £10 million together, but i think that Ronaldo will definitely go. Or perhaps the 60% ticket price increase since the Glazers have took over that all you United fans on here have been hit so hard by may actually go into the club for a change, but this would be detrimental to the financial situation of the club in the future. And since United have a history of doing bad business in relation to selling players to Madrid i think the fee that we can most likely expect would be around the £35 - £45 million mark, not the £70 million that is being suggested.

Aguero would fit the bill in saying that Ferguson wants to buy younger players, and he would definitely fit in to United's play, however he will likely cost more than Berbatov so i cannot see that one happening.

Laudrup's name has been touted around as a possible replacement for Queiroz, and he will fit the bill in that he is multi-lingual and will have many contacts around the world like Queiroz did. However, the style of football his Getafe team played was attacking and while this is not a bad thing I'm not sure United need this when replacing Queiroz, as he has been credited with the defensive work that has gone into United creating one of the best defenses in world football. Roberto Martinez has been mentioned, as has Brian McClair (who i think is the most likely choice). None of those 3 would be a bad choice though, and I am sure that Ferguson will choose wisely and correctly, unless he opts for Mike Phelan and his ridiculously short shorts again in which case it would be disastrous for United.

However, he would fit the bill. He is a good coach who again speaks several languages and will have many contacts in South America. But my Korean counterparts who are in the know tell me they know nothing of it.

Christian Poulsen has completed a move to Juventus from Sevilla. £7.8m is the fee, not bad. Pretty much means Xabi Alonso won't be going at all.

Also, Razak Omotoyossi, the Benin striker who impressed at the African Cup of Nations has signed for Saudi Arabian side Al Nasr. West Brom were actually supposedly interested in him.

We haven't been linked with him for months.

Compared to Sissoko, Poulsen, Zanetti and Nocerino, Alonso is an attacking playmaker.

Sunderland are after Cork City midfielder Myler(don't know his first name)

He's a bit like Shane Long in that he has only played a couple of times for Cork. Sunderland have had two bids rejected, and want 400,000 euros for him.
