Apparantly on the way to his medical, one of Bents friends rang him up to say that Birmingham were interested, then did a u turn back to England. Ah well, weve got other targets. Hopefully we can strike a deal for Kris Boyd or someone along those lines. Personally, Id glad that we've avoided signing him now rather than finding out next season that hes unhappy. If a player isnt going to commit to us, then he's not worth having. | |

Yeah Boyd would be awesome. We put in a bid of £2 which was rejected but I think now because the Bent deal went bottoms up we could have another crack. I reckon a bid of at least £3.5m would stand a chance.
We are still in a bit of debt, but we won our court case so we don't have to pay it back until 2016, which gives us a chance to raise funds from things like revenue from the new stadium and Premiership deals (with a bit of luck  ). I cant help but think that if we werent in the FA Cup final, we wouldnt be in this position. We did have a fairly easy route to be fair. But still, can't complain. I know we have the potential to get into the playoffs, just gotta get a regular goalscorer and hang onto key players such as McNaughton and Loovens and we've got a good shot IMO.Jeez, now I'm extremely excited about the upcoming season  | |
