Because the A-Leauge has only been in existence for 3 seasons. I do support my local side in that but I have supported Arsenal for a lot longer and if the two ever played each other I would support Arsenal.

Support your local side? Do you go to watch them play, buy seasons tickets, merchandise (not saying they make you a great fan but they help with the clubs financial income).

I do? But I would choose to go to an Arsenal game if I could over a Queensland game anyday.

Your point, is a bit stupid. I see what you're saying man, and to an extent, I can see how someone like Euphoric is a glory hunter. He saw Arsenal on TV from Australia and decided to support them. I think what you seem to fail to understand however is that people cannot help that, mainly due to what people like Euphoric have said. People cannot help having to pick a team, because they're family do not follow football and they do not live in an area that follows football. This is where your point real supporters is flawed. By your logic, only supporter who is born into a club is a real supporter, and I believe this is wrong. Another flawed point is that it is okay to support not so succesful teams even if you have little connection with the club. I don't live in London, I never have done, but I support West Ham (although I do have family links). I've been to few games. I wouldn't call myself the best fan there is, but I support them, and they're not successful. If this was the same with a team like Liverpool, I would mostly like ly be branded a Glory Hunter.

But yes, I think to say that people are not true supporters like yourself because they can't go to games or have no family links is stupid. I think its because you like to try and be a better supporter than others, and hence feel that you are higher than them. But overall, it doesn't really matter. Football is for entertainment, and to get so wound up in who people support, and that they may or may not be a true fan is also, stupid.

I can also see where people are coming from also with "support your local side instead", but if they did that, they'd just be accused of switching teams, so its a no win situation.

It doesn't make him a glory hunter, just means that he is supporting that team for no good reason.

I'm not saying people from places outside England, who are not born into a family where football is a big thing, can't support English teams. If they want to support a team, they will have to choose a team. But let's face it, they're always going to pick one of the top 4 or maybe 6. They just wouldn't ever pick a team like Norwich.

Going back to what I said before:

Why did you have no choice?

I mean that I wanted to be able to support a club? When you play a sport and watch/follow the professional game it's kind of pointless not having a team to barrack for is it not?

And due to their not being a serious league here in Australia at the time I had to look to the Premiership as that is what was shown in TV and what I could watch.

That's because we would never see Norwich play as they don't get shown on TV over here. So we would know nothing about them. The only clubs we really here or see anything about are the ones that are actually achieving anything.

Most likely because they have no idea who Norwich are since they only show the top teams playing in other countries.

It's a few pages back now, but I agree with what DIOS said.

I'm not going to get into this topic because it's pointless and is a neverending circle.
