Liverpool - Looking on to Summer/Next season

IMO, there are 4 options to who this could be.
1) Villa - Great player, has stated his good partnership with Torres several times, which will prove vital if we sign him.
2) Henry - We all know how good he is, has not really had his chance at Barcelona, although he has stated a few times about not seeing himself play anywhere in the Premierleague but Arsenal, he has also stated that Anfield, the team and fans have a place in his heart.
3) Podolski - Great player IMO, has pace, can finish a ball and could prove to be a great player for us, Not having the happiest of times at Bayern at the minute.
4) Santa Cruz - People may question this decision, but i feel he has proved what he can do, without him where would Blackburn be this season, can score against the big and small teams, great player in my opinion.

@ David Villa - I think Liverpool & Arsenal both have a chance of signing Villa, he is a proven striker and from what I have heard/seen he wants to play in England. Obviously I think Liverpool may have an advantage as they have Torres of whom he can partner I do think he would suit both teams well and will easily adapt to the Premiership

@ Thierry Henry - Although he has mentioned Anfield, the fans and the Club previously this was only to mention that the atmosphere and fans are better then Uniteds and whatnot. The praise was nothing special if I'm honest and like he has said before; the only Club he will be playing at should he return to England is Arsenal.

@ Podolski - He is a great player and has a great scoring rate at international level, however he hasn't exactly been firing on all cylinders for his Club. I can't really see him bringing anything to Liverpool.

@ Santa Cruz - Great player, good scoring record and a wonderful choice to partner Torres. However I can only see him leaving Blackburn for Manchester United.

I think Liverpool should concentrate more on looking for some wingers before they go out looking for a partner for Torres.

I would agree with you for calling this an average season for the season, mainly because it seems like since Benitez has come in you have always concentrated on only challenging for 3rd/4th place in the League and the Champions League.
