I'm as objective as anyone when it comes to judgements on players and I still don't believe Ronaldo is the best in the world yet but please, for the love of god, if you're gonna make an intelligent contribution then at the very least try to get your facts straight. Kaka was SHITE in the Champions League final, leashed by Mascherano and utterly marked out of the game. In fact he's been shite in just about every big match he's played in; against Bayern Munich Hargreaves had him in the pocket, against Barcelona Xavi owned him, didn't show up against Inter at all last season, about as lacklustre as his teammates at the World Cup and he's been non existent in Serie A for a few years now. In fact the only big matches he's performed well in have been against incredibly thin, injury stricken makeshift sides and that was both legs against United. Even then he'd have had a far quieter game if he'd had a marker on him.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but weren't those 10 minutes he supposedly "ran the show" in the final (which I watched by the way, enabling me to make valid comments without sounding like an utter *bleep*) after Benitez took off Mascherano in favour of a more attacking approach... leaving him unmarked? If you leave any talent like Ronaldo or Kaka unchecked then they'll run riot (Ronaldo v Roma, Kaka v United), but mark them and you restrict their mobility and effectiveness (Ronaldo v Arsenal, Chelsea, AC Milan, Kaka v Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool).

The best in the world can still be highly effective under those conditions (Giggsy in his prime, Ronaldinho, Zinedine Zinane, Ronaldo), neither Kaka or Cristiano Ronaldo have been able to demonstrate that ability. Any idiot can say Kaka is the best in the world based on one performance, but it only takes someone with intelligence and tactical analysis to make an objective and analytical comment. You should try it sometime, y'know, so you DON'T humiliate yourself and spout random, Ronaldo hating, fan-boy bullshit. As far as Kaka goes I don't hate the guy, I think he's an immense talent and I love watching him work his magic when he's on form (and BOY can he produce it when he's on form), but he simply hasn't been in consistent form for the past year and a half. Is inconsistency the mantle of perfection? Don't think so.
