Im on the quest were you have to take the drug Felldew and enter that cave.. Were can I get Felldew? Please tell me if you know..

When I arrived at the cave I was attacked by one of those spider things it was the "hatchling" breed which carry the drug on them. So what I did was just hang around outside and let them attack me. They aren't real powerful so I used that time to increase my light armor skill and fought them hand to hand to build that skill as well. I wouldn't go in there without at least 10 portions of feldew. Every minute or so one of the hatchlings come out the door so you don't really have to wait very long in between fights with them.

Yeah. The elytra hatchlings are all carrying felldew, then once you're inside, the ones that are felldew sensitive, and don't attack you also have felldew, so then you know which one to look for. The problem is once you take one piece of felldew, the negative effects are eventuallly crippling, and unavoidable..

Thats a great idea! I didn't realise that more of them are outside. I just killed the first one that attacked me, took the feldew and went inside. It was a complete pain in the arse as I kept on getting overencumbered by the withdrawal pangs and had to keep on taking potions etc. It was one of the hardest missions in the whole game for me because of the lack of feldew inside. (I found some but never enough and I search every elytra that attacked me.) Good mission though.

I did the same thig as Baron, but I didnt have as much of a problem. I think the ones that have the feldew in the cave have a green glow on them. If I remember correctly, almost every one I killed that had the glow also had feldew, but I could be wrong.

Caanon, you're right. They have a green 'sack' at their rear. My problem is that I was fully loaded when I went in the game so any weakening of my strength really hurt. Until I remembered I had some feather spells/potions I was fighting whilst standing on the spot because I couldn't move!!!

Is there anywhere else in the whole of the isles bar that tree stump/cave that you can find Felldew carrying Elytra? Or just an instance of it anywhere else?

I've been trying for days, (real time) and not found a single one of the hatchlings around that damn tree.

Yes I'm positive I'm in the right place and I've given it many days (game time) away from the location and even back in the original game to regenerate them (it's possible I killed the first ones but didn't pick up the felldew) but to no avail. The Elytra Matrons show up there but no hatchlings.

I'd really like to see the rest of this game play out but I'm being held in place by this and it's doing my brain a damage every day I can't move on.

Any help would be met with a large smooch and a throughly hearty back slapping. Ta

I've just thought I hit level 50 a few days ago does that make it less likely that the hatchlings will appear? Or rather are the hatchlings a lower level enemy?

I think the hatchlings are a lower level enemy, just like the different levels of enemy that appear in the original Oblvion, like the goblins, goblin berserker, goblin warlord etc... and both Wide-eye and Thadon say that Felldew can be found on the Elytra, not the hatchlings specifically.

Any bug thingy that is green around the edges has it. Just head on in after taking the stuff and kill any creature you see that is glowing green.

I know they're supposed to have the green aura around them but there are simply none outside, regular ones (Matrons and Nobles) sometimes pop up but only carrying Elytra Ichor.

It just strikes me as a bit weird that this is the only place to get it, well there or actually inside the tree/cave.

So there is nowhere else to find it then?

I'm guessing the key to the other entrance is inside the tree/cave yeah? Or is it somewhere else?

i did the same thing baron did but i have lots of str, and i ran fast through it thought it was a waste a time to fight them all

This is driving me up the bloody wall now, so there is nowhere else to find it?

I really don't want to have to start another game for this to kick in.

I'm off for a pickpocket of the Duke and raiding his bedroom to see if that turns up anything.

hey i think i killed the guy at membrane and use his felldew for potions befor i i knew i needed for quest...where can i find some more? none of them are comming out of membrane and when i do find one its a elytra matron.so i was wondering if u could email on how to get some

Same problem, i'm Level 40 something, and I cant find an Elytra Hatchling anywhere. It's kinda stupid cus i've been stuck for days.
