1st : From the floor 4 there is a portrait that says : Find three faces as I've said or simply stand around instead !
2nd : From the library there is a portrait that says : Try the Great Hall ! Yes,yes, the great hall (and something about the daily prophet) !
3rd : At 4th floor there is a portrait that says : Sorry . I haven't got a clue. I'd ask Fronsac if I were You !

I can only help with the 2nd . If you go to the top of the great hall you will see a kinda winged shaped bird book stand cast a spell on it but i forgot which 1 so you'll have 2 try them all and then several owls will fly down but one of them leaves the daily prophet newspaper on one of the tables , once read go back to the portrait in the library ... o.k.

1st: Go to the seventh floor and talk to the portrait with the tan background (or the guy without the hat) and he'll tell you what to do.
3rd: Fronsac, I believe, is the portrait that leads to the library. Go talk to him. But correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, and for the 2nd, cast Accio on the stand in the great Hall.

The Rhyme and Riddle Portrait

Poetic Man
He is dressed in red and talks in riddles and rhymes. Once you talk to
him he basically says to you, "Go on this long quest for me and find
other portraits to point you in the right direction to find out the
password." Now we are off. The first portrait you need to find is in
the Seventh Floor. He wears a black robe, not hard to find. Talk to him
and he will tell you to talk to the Ravencraw portrait on the 2nd floor
of the Grand Staircase.

He will tell you to go to the Shepherdess, which is on the Second
Floor. Make your way to the Shepherdess as if you where going to
Herbology. When you come to stairs that lead to Herbology, the last
landing before you get off the stairs will be a big picture of the
Shepherdess. She will be dressed in white and have a bunch of sheep
behind her, talk to her and she will tell you to talk to Faithful
portrait in the Viaduct Entrance.

Make your way there and at the bottom of the staircase to the left (if
you are facing the exit to the courtyard) you will see the portrait
that is next to a bookcase. He will tell you to make your way to the
portrait on the 1st floor of the Grand Staircase.

The Hufflepuff portrait is the portrait that is there and the one you
should speak to. Finally our quest comes to an end and he will give you
the password. Return to the Poetic Man on the 4th floor of the Grand
Staircase and he will like you enter though.

i go to the 7th floor to talk to the potraite n harry just says the password and he just opens the passage way :S

does any one no why?


i only need that password then i have completed it

well i know the one about the daily prophet this one took me a while to figure out go to the great hall and on one of the tables is a copy of the daily prophet and get it and bring it to the portrait who wants it and the password is (No news is good news) i like this portrait passage alot it helps somtimes:D

i went to the wrong passage door on the seventh floor that why lol
i have nearly completed it. just need discovery points and i have completed it lol
and now have nearly completed half blood prince, i have no tasks on there either just looking for shields lol

you need to go to Gryfindoor room to get your cloak out of your room and then go to ground floor and walk down to the lady and slytherin people will say the password then u will have it
