OMG I have comcast too the guys came yesterday and Gave us all the Chanels not on Pay-Per-View.

Anyway... I snuck a Digivice V2 into class.

The Digivices were really meh IMO, the only one I really liked was the D-Tector because you could choose which Digimon you wanted to battle with. One of my main problems with the digivices were not enough interactivity. I liked the battle pets more, you were free to choose how you raised your Digimon and that was great.

I could imagine them doing that, but if they did do it, it would most likely be on the PSP.

Why would a virtual pet be better on the PSP? That doesn't make any sense. The DS is the system for virtual pet games, because of the touch screen. You can interact with your pet much more closely. The PSP is for pretty graphics and the like, which digimon hand held games are obviously not concerned with.

Now I reread the first post of this thread, and noticed a few things I should reply to.
1. The 4 year haitus taken by toei animation in making the digimon anime was NOT so that they could better promote the card game and v-pets. That is what ended up happening, but the haitus was because tamers and frontier lost a large amount of the anime's fanbase leaving toei with no funds to make another series. remember, toei and bandai are two separate companies. Finally in 06, bandai collaborated with toei to make digimon savers, which has become very popular and brought back a number of the old fans while making many new ones.

As far as cards and games coming out here as a result, yes there will be a new (or respawn of an old) digimon card game here in the US. I am a mod at the official bandai digimon forum, and have great reason to believe there will be a new digimon card game released in the US. (Bandai is ever secretive).

I don't think Bandainamco cares about giving equality to handhelds, they simply make thier game for the system they think it will sell more copies on. A v-pet on the ds will sell more than on the PSP.

They have not announced anything yet.

Well, hopefully, they can use it as a platform for reviving Digimon in the rest of the world if it succeeds in America.
