GT went down the shitter 2 weeks after release, we were just too far up PD's arse to notice, and hoping that they'd make it better. They gave us a shit smokescreen. A shit load of features and fixes that added bleep all to the game.... /rant I agree. There was a lot more to do in GT4. OK GT5 has better graphics but GT4 was a MUCH more fun game. Come on, after over two years of delaying the game I was expecting it to be spectacular. You really have to wonder what PD were doing all that time I still can't believe how bleeped up Arcade mode is. GT4 had it perfect. Choose a manufacturer, choose a model, pick a colour, pick a track, number of laps, off you go. It was absolutely perfect. It's what kept me playing GT4 for so long. Then GT5 comes around the corner with this piss weak excuse for an Arcade mode, with random-ass cars and having to favourite any of the ones you want from career mode because they aren't on the standard Arcade car list. It was so bleeping annoying, and one of the reasons I haven't played this game in two months. The amount of grinding compared to the price of cars...bleeping ridiculous. At least in GT4 you got the prize cars again, so you had a quick method of gaining cash to purchase your favourites with. GT5 is bleeped in comparison. I'm not much of a team player...I want a game where I can quickly choose the car I want, in the colour I want, and beat some AI ass. In that regard, GT5 just doesn't deliver for me. GTAIII was one of my favourite games of all time, and is my favourite of the GTA series...closely followed by Vice City. I think I've only got about 5 hidden packages to get.
