Exactly what I thought. Last night was easily the best episode of this season and the one before. I find a lot of sboring but Vettel was great tbh. The Mclaren was great and I loved the 2nd hand car thing at the end. I've always thought that though, unless you're loaded you're better off buying a 2nd hand car.

Even compared to some allegedly 'Premium' new cars second hand makes sense. I had a BMW 540i Manual (E39) - M-sport/AC Schnitzer job, I bought between company cars for under 5k. Drove it for 3 fairly trouble free years. It was faster, quieter, more comfortable and better built than the A4 Avant company car I have now.

Sure it would only manage 30mpg on a very long run and preferred to do 20mpg, but the solution to that is to get a face lifted E39 530D M-sport.

James May is right about N-ring tuning or more specifically the obsession with handling. Modern cars in general have a terrible ride and combine that with the ever deteriorating condition of our roads and you have a woeful combination.

If McLaren have cracked that, we can only hope others follow in their footsteps.
