	Log in to remove this sponsored message So I was playing in the Expert series and so far I was doing great with my Mercedes SLS (I even lapped cars in some races) but along comes this "Gran Turismo All Stars" championship and my car gets raped by 2 of the opponents who were ahead of the rest of the pack significantly. Nearly all of the opponents' cars were 'race cars'... So were can I buy one of these 'race cars'? ------------------- quote The Haz Braden, I think you're right. 	I'm stuck on that same championship. Matt 123456789 recommended, I use the Corvette ZR1 (race modified), but i'm still struggling. Maybe it'll work for you. 160Kish for the car. Then about 350K for the RM and another 100K for other mods. Still works out cheaper than buying a readied race car. -------------------

	You might as well buy the Corvette anyway, it's the only car good enough to win Like the Wind race around Indy, any other cars are too slow around the bends and/or straights. I won the championship with the ZR1 so I'm sure most players can as I'm sure I'm just an average racer. I didn't have the Audi R8 for competition though which battered me when I tried the Veyron so I may have been lucky ------------------- Life's a bitch and then you die, that's why we get high

I wanted to win the Zonda R in b-spec and no cars I had could really keep up, so I decided to buy the ZR1 and fully tune it. Cranked up max downforce with hard racing tires and WOW the car is fast, furious and lethal. It sticks to the ground and has plenty of power to rip up the competitors. Definitely a good car. After I won the Zonda, I took it to the top gear track and the time I set was beaten by the ZR1 by almost a full 1.5 seconds. Granted the Zonda was stock, but still, the Corvette is a beast. 	I think he ment soft But for the Indy 500 Race, a was still struggling with the Z06, kept on getting slip streamed at the last second. This setup will only work on the Indy 500. Since this is a Oval track with very high speed corners, you do not need max downforce, this will create drag and lower your top speed, so decrease the downforce on the car, you won't need stability for a track like this, also a bit of negative camber and toe in, 1.0 degree of camber 0.50 degrees of positive toe in worked for me. Also lower the ride height and stiffen up the dampers and springs to compensate, just make sure Damper compression is slightly softer than extension then soften the anti roll bars to compensate for the stiffer spring and damper set up, and finally alter the gear ratios so the max speed is around 255mph (your car actually wont hit this kind of speed due to tyre friction and air resistance). Sorry for the quick rough guide there, I'm going off the top of my head here since I'm not on GT5 now so I can't give you exact setting figures but I'm sure you'll get the idea of what kind of set up you're looking for. Just remember to reset these settings to default for the Daytona race. ------------------- jbh is a twat.

Cheers, I may do that...the maxing the downforce sounds like it should help the troubles I was having with the car. The car in front is just amazing, and you really have to put in a perfect lap just to be close or just in front of that thing. -------------------

If I can get in front on the turns, i'm pretty good at blocking off their driving lines on the straights. -------------------
