I hate this friggin' race it's crap and I'm bot gonna keep trying with the Lamborghini. I had enough of getting in front and getting my arse tailed for laps on end!!!!!!!!!

Anyone have a suggestion on how to set up the '74 Countach for this race? The one I have is completely tuned...maximum horsepower, minimum weight, all the top drivetrain parts (clutch, flywheel, fully adjustable tranny, etc.), racing tires.

All the bells and whistles on this car...but I have only managed to finish 2nd in both Cote d' Azur and Deep Forest after many attempts. I have noticed that I can get out in front if the Toyota 7 is not in the pole position to start, and I can cause a pile-up on the first turn and scoot around the other cars...basically I retire and re-enter until I get the most favorable lineup (the toyota as far back from the front as possible), then just do the quick restart (takes you to the beginning of the race with the same cars without going to the main screen) until I can get out in front after turn one. I have that part down...my problem is holding off the Toyota 7...I can keep ahead of him for like 2-3 laps, then my tires crap out on me and start smoking, the car starts to handle like crap, and I get passed.

Is there any setting for a fully-suped Countach for downforce, shocks, ride height, camber/toe, top speed, etc. that anyone has found is ideal for these races? I have played around with all of these but still cannot find the ideal setting.

Any suggestions are much appreciated...this race is driving me crazy!!!

If you have a Ferrari 330 P4/Ford Mark 4/Jaguar XJ13/Toyota 7 then the race is very easy, on both circuits, on Monaco you need to do a bit of coaching. I have a very cool driver, I tell him to overtake from turn 1 up through casino and down the grand hotel hairpin, once he gets to the tunnel, tell him to pace down (he will crash at the Nouvelle Chicane if you tell him to overtake/pace up). Around Piscini and Rascasse, tell him to pace up, then half way through the straight tell him to overtake. Rinse and repeat every lap untill you get in the lead, (normally around lap 5).

Also, remember to shorten your gear ratios slightly for this race, you won't be going more than 180mph on the pit straight.

I won Monte Carlo quite easily in a Buick Speacial, what I've realised is that it has great power but it just dosn't have the handling to win deep forest. I might try the Countach.

You get the Toyota 7 from winning 'Like The Wind' on B-Spec, you also win the Jaguar XJ13 from doing the Indy 500 on A-Spec, or if you cba doing Endurance races yourself, do the Indy 500 in B-Spec and you get yourself a Ford GT40 Race Car for your efforts which I'm sure will be able to win that event.

Took me ages to win this on B-Spec, tried a few different cars but in the end managed it with the Jaguar whatever that one is. Managed to overtake the 2J on the last lap, my driver finally looking like a proper race driver.
