The Top 10 MH Soundtracks?

Every piece of music in MH is epic, no denying it. However, there are some scores which are definitely a cut above the rest, and these are some of the ones I think fit into that category.

I bet this thread's been done before, but I'm gonna do it anyway.

First of all, an honorable mention: Phantom Uragaan. If only for novelty value.

10: Raviente theme, part 1. Surprisingly moving for a battle theme.

9: Amatsumagatsuchi, part 2. Fitting for a monster with the beauty and power of a hurricane.

8: The Ceadeus themes. Unique and thrilling, almost spiritually so... and the percussion is really cool.

7: Shen Gaoren Finale (and the "remixes" of it). Brings to mind a certain scene...

There's no way the hunters could have survived. The titanic creature had crashed to the ground right on top of them, making the earth shudder and throwing up an enormous cloud of dust and sand. Nothing can be seen within it, but the lack of sound seems to tell the worst story.
But wait... as the dust settles, something appears to be moving. Four upright shapes become visible... (cue music). Striding triumphantly out of the destruction, the hunters turn their swag up to maximum, swords over their shoulders and gleaming monster shells under their arms. Walking in slow motion away from their hard-earned, day-long fight as if it were nothing, simply resplendent in their victory swag...

Actually, this song can be applied to anything awesome. Moving on...

6: Triumphant Song, the score that plays in town after a Jhen fight. Different and calmer than Gaoren's, but still, I think, a little bit better.

5: Bracchidios. A great score by all standards, goes very well with the MH3G trailer.

4: Kuarusepusu (Highland). Love the use of woodwinds in this one. It makes you feel the storm on the horizon...

3: TIE between Guran Miraosu and Alatreon. The reason these are in here is due, of course, to the amazing iconic MH motifs in each piece, Guran's at 00:44 and Ala's at 01:48. These are the BEST incidences of the theme in any MH song to date without a doubt... however, these were pushed down to 3rd because the remainders of the songs aren't that remarkable.

2: Rukodiora. A short but awe-inspiring piece that, I think, introduced me to the world of MH music. You can feel the magnetic energy humming through you... or is that just the epicness?

Number One... the Monster Hunter Frontier 10.0 theme.

It took me forever to find this score, and this^ is how I felt when I did.

And Number Zero (lol): The classic, omnipotent themes that define the game itself.
Most people, myself included at first, find it hard to believe these were composed for a video game.

I must disagree tho... Ceadues theme song needs a higher spot imo xD

Haha normally I really do care about the soundtracks but I actually hunt with no sound pretty much all the time. I only hunt with sound when I'm home alone. My parents really don't like the game because I play it so much so I try not to remind them that they let me play xD

Oh damn, HOW did I forget Testament of a Hero?! I'll have to fix that...


I haven't really gotten around to hunting with the music off, but I've been thinking about trying it. Right now I actually listen to the radio or a music podcast while I'm playing.
IMO it would be great if every monster had its own theme, instead of area themes... would take awhile, but they could bring back or remix the great tracks that have been lost to time. I guess the only Tri monsters' themes I actually like during a fight are Jhen's (which isn't too intrusive) and oc Ceadeus's.
