Wyvern Tears

Wat do they do in tri? I know why u want them in mhfu, for pokke points, but wat good r they to u in tri? There r no pokke points and ultimately no reason to get them?

Wyvern Tears are mainly used for subquests. By delivering a wyvern tear on some quests. ur reward increases. And since not much people deliver it. i think capcom has made the rewards pretty damn good. I delivered it once doing a rathalos, i got a plate. Its actually worth it. The other reason is its an account item. By having it at the end of a quest, the guild exchanges it for zenny. I cant remember how much, but its zenny. Same with pawpass, which is why when i deliver a pawpass i get another for the extra money

When you're broke it's not pathetic. And yeah it doesnt help with chances. But you are wrong about subquests only give you subquest items. I remember while farming for stout horns I'd break the horns and end with subquest. I got some rewards in the main quest section. Sadly I never did get a stout horn from that.

Ok dude, with all due respect, you're wrong. Or at least uninformed.

First of all, there was a thread on mhwiki.forumotion.net that clearly describes what I'm going to tell you. I forgot what it's called, and now I can't find it. I'll check in if I manage to later.

This is how quest rewards work:
Look at the rewards screen. There are 5 horizontal rows. The top 4, in descending order, correspond to:
Main rewards - these contain the most and most relevant monster items, obtained randomly no matter what happens during the quest.
Secondary rewards - contain bones and scales and stuff. Random and and unaffected by occurences in-quest.
Break rewards - give you items relevant to monster parts that you BREAK during the quest.
Capture rewards - Rare items recieved from capturing a monster, taking the place of carves.

The 5th row, separated from the others, contains:
Subquest rewards - this row holds rewards from both sub 1 and 2.

One of diablos's subquests is "break both horns". When you break them, you get:
Subquest rewards, which include a chance of horns...
And Break rewards in the 3rd row, which you get from breaking both horns WHETHER OR NOT it's a subquest.
Therefore, from the horns you get both break and sub rewards.

This principle applies to every monster; take lagi for example. Depending on what quest you do, breaking his back spines may or may not be a subquest, but you still get break rewards either way. This is how MH currently works - if you want a certain monster part, break it! Often, break rewards will yield a much better chance of both rare items and that specific part than will the corresponding subquest.

So there you have it. Now you know about the different types of rewards - I can't let any ignorance go un-corrected . Surf around yourself if you happen not to believe me.

U can get plates and rubies from doin subquests. Looking at the new divinewh.im cite (i don't wanna type the new one out) it says under lagia sapphire that if u do subquest a there is a 2% chance to get a sapphire, doing subquest b also gives a 2% chance and even jus doing the quest gives a 2% chance, that's not including the percentage u get jus for capturing lagi.

So yes u do recieve plates/ rubies/ sapphires from subquests. I actually found my first Los plate there

in other words, doing subquests (delivering wyvern tears) is worth it. 2% may not b much, but it's better than 0. U will get lucky at some point.

Very few subquests are tears! I don't know where you get your info, dude, but you are a sad, strange little man. And you have my pity.

Oh god. Please read my post again... or explain yourself again, cause I still don't get what you don't understand.

WooperOnALedge, guess what. YOU CAN NEITHER GET SAPPHIRES, RATH PLATES NOR RUBIES FROM DELIVERING A TEAR. If you end by subquest and find one of those in your box, it's either from a different subquest or a break reward.

These are the only two tear subquests for lagi in the game. Do you see a chance of sapphires?
