not enough damage to rathlos

I have used the undertaker thunderclap and guan dao but im never able to deal enough damage to kill it and im using my traps so i cant cap it im using full jhen exept head which belongs to lagi ive even taken up the 50 min and still didnt deliver enough damge to kill it but im always sooooo close i need help

Yea main reason is people leaving it in the air and not attacking. Also a tip that might help is when he roars, stand infront of his left foot and he'll hit you then you can move out of the way of his fireball. Hmmmmm I think that's all I can tell you. I'm not a pro with him. He's one of the monsters that I cant adren too well xD.

Rathalos is just on of those monsters that gives everyone trouble no matter how many times you fight him. The quickest easiest way to beat him is to gun him, but I've noticed that no matter what kind of armor is recommended no one ever listens (I guess grinding isn't a thing people like to do), and just believes the right weapon will do it ...

If you really want to beat him with a melee I suggest that you get a full set of rathian armor, and gem in High grade earplugs, or just do what RockofKuthian said and stay under his left foot... You should invest in getting wind resist HI if you don't want to grind rathians. Ingot armor requires you to mine for ores instead of grinding monsters.

If none of these options appeal to you, then just keep fighting him and watch his movement patterns eventually you'll get good enough to beat him.
