wyvern gems/ stones

I believe the 4* quest jumping for jaggi yields the highest chance to get bird wyvern gems. You should cap both great jaggi and I don't remember exactly but breaking the head might increase the chances as well, it couldn't hurt. That's how I farm for bird wyvern gems. The quests go quick and within an hour you can do like 6 or 7 of em.

ah so it IS possible to get them from the jump a jaggi quest, i did this quest around 5 times and never got ONE so when i was told (by another hunter) it had to be 41+ rank i didn't do the jump a jaggi one again, arghh, I've been redoing great baggi 41+ over and over again when i could have done it the easy way.. dam you hunter with your your misinformation:#

Actually, a trick I learned here when I was in your situation (not being able to get Bird Wyvern Gems)...was to do the Tundra Paw Pass quest and look for the 2 G Baggi's that will come out.

What I mean is...go to the cave section at the top of the map...and mine, slay little baggis and wait...in short time, a G. Baggi will jump of the ledge. Slay him and carve. Go back to that top cavern area again...and wait a short time...and in due course, another G. Baggi will come. This one, cap.

SO in this, you not only get to mine while you wait...but carve and get the rewards from 2 G. Baggis....including the percentage for the BWG's.

I have been pretty successful using this as it is fairly quick...and easily done solo. In fact, I prefer it solo as you 'know' what you are doing (i.e. slay, cap).
