full armor sets

Is it true that if u have full selene+ armor then wit a hammer u will stun a monster more than if u had mixed armor? Cuz I got into a huge argument wit a girl on mh3 today bout it

not entirely true, I beleive if you have Sharpness+1 and purple sharpness your attack modifier becomes 1.50, but I havent really read anything that says youre KO is increased, oh and by the way Its not the armor itself that makes it have Sharpness+1 Its the skill and also It depends on the hammer you are using you cant compare a barroth hammer with a Devils Crush and only RARE 7 weapons can achieve purple sharpness

woah this girl fails epicly...Their is no perfect preset armor in the game IMO, mixed armor is epic
and theyre is a difference between a mixed armor set and a mixed up armor set

lol wtf yeah, she/he is trippin, sharpness+1 increases your K.O damage if it raises your sharpness a color. (like from white to purple) but how much it increases it I'm not too sure, the best person IMO to ask about this would be neji 9889

although it is USUALLY better to wear a full set (when first starting out), because a full set would have the same preset skills on it, its possible to make up your own skill sets by mixing and matching different sets and charms. (which is why they put slots for you to customize stuff with in).

for example, my main set is mostly Helios+, but i use a regular helios set item to avoid getting stuck with blunt edge and demonic blessing. also worth noting, the Uragaan greaves, they have a Torso up ability that basically doubles the stats on whatever chest armor you have on, making them great for mixed sets.

what is really important is understanding how the skill system works, each armour peice usually has a few skills on it, with like a 1-3 point bonus for those skills. most skills do not activate until you have about 10 points at least though, which is why you normally would have to wear a complete set to see any active bonuses.
