As for crocodiles, are they the ones where you're supposed to run in a zigzag pattern to confuse them?
my advice is to avoid them entirely, and i'm sure you could easily outrun one, unless you're morbidly obesse. interesting fact: crocs have the strongest bite force in the animal kingdom, so if it grabs you there's little chance you'll escape especially if you're in the water because then it'll start what's dubbed as the death roll where it literally begins to roll with your limb caught between it's teeth with enough force to tear it off.
Deviljho always makes me think of a crocodile for some reason.
so this is where everyone went... i got the messages that some of my off topic posts had been deleted, and i nearly had a heart attack because i thought i'd been banned for a second. sorry about that xeros the slayer, "weapon's of choice" was so random it probably took alot of combing to find all of the off topic posts. how are posts removed like that anyways? is there a program you can run that looks for a certain number of words ending with "lol"?
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
i meant like on land, and yes if one lunged out of the water towards you there would be no time to react and you would probably end up as crocodile food in the end. They attack and kill wildabeast quick and they shouldn't have a problem with a human that isn't even half the wieght.
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
it's getting pretty cold here in georgia(when i say cold i mean in comparison to the last few months), since fall is approaching and all. is it summer for you couttsy? i too enjoy the metric system because i'm in physics this semester, and we do alot of conversions. can you imagine trying to go from feet per second to miles per hour?
kilo, hecto, deka,(liters, meters, grams)deci, centi, and mili. it goes even futher to the biggest unit being Heppa which has a value of 1x10^21 power to ento which has a value of 1x10^-21.

Message deletion isn't a program; it's run directly by the moderators who feel that some messages violate the rules. ;D All by hand!
wow, it must take a while, unless you have a team of moderators assembled to do the job at hand.
quote Justin
And I hate how I was treated non-metric units. Now I have to learn all this metric unit stuff.
it's not very hard, the units are only seperated by units of 10. In other words, you only have to multiply or divide by 10. say for instance you're turning 1 kilogram to plain grams because kilo and grams are seperated by 3 place you multiply by 1000 and get 1000 grams in 1 kilogram. understand?
couttsy, how're you liking America? are you near Georgia?
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
wow, o.0' why was it settled then? what and who were the pioneers that came to australia to settle down there? I'm thinking it might be the british, since you apparently speak english
Well the same question could be asked for those that live in area's like Alaska or even Antarctica.
Humans are a very stubborn and resilient sort =3
when alaska was bought from Russia it was thought to be a blunder, and people didn't know what to do with it. until the early 1900's when they struck oil there, and it started a population boom akin to the gold rush in california.
there aren't any permanent settlements in Antartica that i'm aware of. I know for a fact that there is habitats there for climatologist who study ice core samples, but even then they don't stay all year round because during the winter it would be impossible to rescue anyone who was injured, or if there was a power failure.
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Dark Arcanine (thanks couttsy)super mario galaxy has some really good music! you should look up the soundtrack if you're not familiar with it. It's some of the best orchestrated game music I've ever heard, and it fits the game too. It's like mario, but they really did a good job with bringing in a new feel to it to match the system and the game.
what's some other great game music? I really like the(and don't hate on me) Pokemon gold and silver, and Pokemon Ruby, sapphire, Emerald game music. Oh, and also white and black.
what's your opinion of the music i posted? o.0?
(how does one mention someone with a space in their user name? "@" only registers the first word but nothing else).
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Is this the general topic thread? I'm kinda guess so >.>....
Has anyone here been on neoseeker long enough to have seen a forum slowly die due to lack of members? I visited a forum today on a really good game that never really took off. For emphasis on never took off the whole forum consisted of 3 pages , and to make it worse it has online capabilities for co-op or versus game play. I figured that it'd be more popular than that... It didn't have a moderator forum rules page...
The game is called battalion wars 2, and it's a strategy game were you not only control your battalion you're actually apart of it running around as a rifle grunt or taking control of a gunship, tank , battleship, or other troop units. In the game each group has it's own weaknesses. For example: Tanks are good against light infantry, but not bazooka vets and air attacks.
The game is based on a earlier game released for an early nintendo system which was 2-D at the time, but this game is 3-D, and surprisingly the graphics aren't that bad. They aren't the most spectacular in the world, but it's meant to look more cartoonish I guess :/ . The cut scenes are really well done, and for a moment I wish they did a animated movie then the game because of how well it looks. The world of BW2 is split between different ethic groups like the solar empire reminds me of either Chinese or Japanese culture. The western frontier is unmistakably representing Americans, and they're the russian and german representatives repectively. The music in this game is pretty cool too it just 'fits' the game. It's still a great game that didn't get as popular as it should have. If any of you want to play a really good strategy game battalion wars 2 is the game for you. The game does have some downsides though, it's too short being the biggest. It's probably the reason no one took the time on it in the first place because of how short it is. Also in the booklet that comes with the game, it mentions units that aren't used in the campaign mode or online mode. I don't know if the game comes with un-used models and attack animations for these units they're just mentioned >.> but never seen. The game is generally lacking in the option department, it's pretty much just straight forward you either pick offline or online without anything more to do. In some games that's just fine because either way you'll spend hours doing either one, but in this game it seriously needed something more like a custom level builder which allowed the player to make their own challenges for them or share it with the world. That would've been a cool feature. Overall the game is lacking, but it's bound to entertain you for a while at least..... I enjoy it, and I think it should be apart of 'must have Wii games list'
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Dark Arcanine well the game was based off a earlier game, and I don't think that nintendo would make a sequel if the first didn't sell to well.... did you know that there's an assist trophy in super smash bros. brawl where tanks and other units from the earlier game come out like the excitebike does? I didn't know what game they came from until I played the 2nd.
speaking of brawl does anyone still play that online? I picked it up again a few days ago out of boredom really. I got my old skill back and decided to play online, but I was unable to find anyone to play with. I know it's a old game, but the price hasn't been marked down since it's release, and if you know anything about the law of supply and demand then you should realize that the game's sells haven't decreased either. I'ma head over to the SSB forums for a quick look.
Oh and if anyone here still plays regularly then I'd like to test my mettle against you! I know alot of you from monster hunter the only difference is the game
-----edit----- well I went an introduced myself, and then looked at the forum a bit more, and it seems that most of the discussions are being added to years apart. I saw two new threads on the first page, so I guess that's a good sign . It's so strange to see how something so popular goes downhill in such a short amount of time. they had 3 intro threads there on the third one had 32 pages. I was also wondering what does being a moderator entail? Are you being paid to do it(not that I would be interested in the job even if I were), I guess it would be an easy job, just keeping tabs on the forum you head. I wish I could ask more, but I don't know half of my own questions if that makes sense >.>, lol. You probably get questions like this a lot, right?
I realized that this forum is now more active that the SSB one even though this game didn't get as many players as SSB did. I guess good games attract die hard fans....
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Dark Arcanine That's some dedication 0.o' arcanine! I'm not trying to be sarcastic if it sounds like I am... >.> a lot of people would want some sort of motivation before taking on the task of section mod. That being said, how hard is it though if you don't mind? I don't think that there'd be a whole lot of trouble makers here on this website, but I'm sure it's had it's fare share of trolls....
I know it's sort of taboo but how does one apply, or are you just selected based on past performances? Again not looking for a job here even though it may sound like it, heck I'm not even logged on long enough to be a mod.... it's just that the job seems like it shouldn't go to just anyone. People in general have been known to abuse their power throughout history on all levels of society, so there must be a screening process involved. I've been on this site for almost a year now, and I don't know much about it outside the monster hunter community. I was even absent for the majority of this year even, soooo yeah not the job for me, but I am curious as to how it works if you don't mind telling me.
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Dark Arcanine At school we had this club where we were allowed to bring systems and play games there. I joined because a friend wanted me too. He was in the club for a year before me and all he did was play brawl during that time. I joined and thought that'd I'd get my butt kicked over and over because at the time I hadn't picked up a controller to play brawl in months. The exact opposite happened, I beat everyone, no one could touch me >.>. We played 5 life stock battles, and I only ever lost one during the whole thing, until this Asian kid from the club next to us came over to challenge me.... He beat me a few times, but for the most part we were evenly matched. I played as Ike the entire time because his attacks send people flying
It was a lot of fun, but unfortunately I had to quit because I didn't have a car or license, and by the time I did the club had already moved on to games that I didn't like to play, sooo....yeah
Oh, and it does seem like the website admins did at one time select people as mods, and now you just apply. I understand that it doesn't necessarily mean you'll get the job. I have another question, you know the post count? Does it subtract from your count if your post gets removed? I wondering about that....I actually had a post get removed(not recently), those one liners are easy mistakes to make -_-'....
----Edit----- Too bad I don't have a PS3 the_FAMAS_pro or else I'd get dark souls. what happened to your skyrim computer game? You said you'd never make the same mistake again? what's dark souls about anyway? I don't usually pay attention to games I can't play >.>
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
the_FAMAS_pro how old is your computer? a lot of the times a upgrade to newer version of windows will solve the problem, and I understand not everyone has a couple hundred dollars lying around >.> for the upgrade.... you could try looking up your problem online like on a forum site, or posting it and see if anyone else has the same problem; maybe they fixed it, and know what's wrong.
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Its_my_time24 lol DO and kholdstare guilty of that, but I don't know anyone else other than those two. Maybe there's some kind of brony cult here on neo that you can only join if you know people
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Kunimitsu04 This is the general discussion thread, so anything goes here so long as it conforms to the neo code of conduct but I guess you already figured that out. As far as a rant thread I'm not sure there is one. There might have been some time ago, but I joined the forum about a year ago so I wouldn't know of one before that time.
There's a giant jho event quest on the deserted island. He sleeps in area 6, and when you go in there to try and capture him the stupid jaggia's body slam him and wake him up before you can set the trap under him >.<.
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Kunimitsu04 after 34!? it didn't take me that long I think I've only beaten like 18 :/ .Now rathians just don't like me, I killed like 32 before I got 1 plate when I was playing offline
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
does anyone here know about the ad blocker? it's a google chrome extension that gets rid of those ram devouring flash ads on sites, and most other ads. If you happen to come across an ad that's not being blocked right click on it and select the neat little ad blocker option. It gives you the ability to block it using a little slider that you use until the ad is gone and viola it's blocked for good. alternatively you can also block ads using the url of the ad site .
incidentally it also blocks the ads on youtube videos, so you can get straight to the video .
I thought that it was pretty cool, so I thought I'd tell you guys about it. I dont' know if you can download it for browsers other than chrome >.> .
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Dark Arcanine I've been playing civilization V on my computer even though my computer sucks and it barely plays it's still enjoyable. I'm just happy that I get to play the game even on the lowest graphic settings, and again the lag that I get. Has anyone here been able to play it? If you like strategy and management games this is the best you can find anywhere. It starts you out in the time period when early humans begin to farm. You start with one city, and you go through the ages by developing better technology, and expanding your empire by sending settlers out, and connecting their cities through road networks. You can go to war with the numerous city-states or other competing civ's and expand by taking there city and surrounding lands. You can win the game in 4 or 5 ways. The one's I know are scientific, conquest, and diplomacy. To win the game scientifically you have to launch a rocket to settle on the nearest life supporting planet. That's about the specs that I know I like to go in blind for the most part, and the game comes with a lot of stuff, I've played it for a while now and I'm still finding new things.
I also picked up pikmin 2 for the wii! I played the first one 2 times before, but I never got to play the 2nd game until now. the wii motion controls make the game flow more naturally I think than with the traditional controller. It's the perfect game that makes use of the wii's motion controlls. If you don't know you start out back on the pikmin's planet trying to find treasures so you can pay off you boss's 10,000 dollar debt. I'm not going to go into detail about it because I know a lot of people haven't played the first, and even though there's not a story to the game, there's also not much you can choose to do either, and I'd be spoiling it.
If you clip the video into two parts using a video editor you might be able to post it >.> that being said, I don't know what program to use, or even how to do it.
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
I find it strange that a general topic thread is rarely used. In the past I posted a few videos here (wanting to share it with my friends), no one said anything about them....
So this time I really want to know more about you guys because I think of you as my friends. Of course I don't know you in real life, but still I do think of you guys friends. I know you guys are far away, but you're out there somewhere. Maybe one day we might be able to all meet up at a gaming convention... that would be pretty cool. Its_my_time24 suggested comic con.
so like what other thing do you guys do? What kind of music are you into? When you go to youtube what do you watch... that kind of stuff. nothing too personal because we all know how dangerous giving out personal stuff is. Not that I would do anything with the information, but other people who see it might. So there you have it.
I would like to start by giving out a bit of things that I like:
there are more, but I want to see how far a conversation can last here...
When I'm on youtube I like to watch random stuff, but mostly about video games. I've really gotten into horror stuff lately and that led me to watch a lot of pewdiepie. I just find it funny to watch people get scared. I would share another video link, but I think neoseeker won't allow more than two, so in the next post.
You're planning to become a programmer? That's what I want to study! I'm pretty good at batch programming, and recently I've been trying to learn java on my own.... not going too well sadly. Object oriented programming languages are REALLY COMPLICATED...
I went to the programming help forum, but that stuff there is way over my head.
If you really want to get into learning about game programming I would start to look at C++ programming language first because that's the language that's used more often. For websites you should learn java code. typically if you want to call yourself a programmer you'll need to be fluent in 5 or so programming languages... It's a lot of hard work.
I got my game for 50.00 US dollars... it came with the classic controller too. I thought that the game was horrible due to the low price, but when I played it for a while I realized that I got a bargain. I would've paid 60-70 dollars easy for the game.
If you plan on going to Florida for school you should stop in Georgia and visit me for a while . There's not much to do around where I live, but I'm sure you'll still have fun. We could play video games all the time, or just random stuff. I've got a baseball somewhere, and some gloves.... I just use them to play catch with my brother.
Dude if you become a game designer I'll be the one who programs it! I have a new mission in life: To bring the glory of monster hunter to a new generation of hunters! I won't be able to get into a huge school though, I'm going to get into a small college near where I live to bump up my GPA, so I can get better scholarships.
I wish I started to learn C++ first. I think I'm going to switch to that one.
Even if i dont play baseball i really wanna live there.
Millions of people throughout history came to america following the american dream XD . I'm a real big history buff, and american history just makes me proud to be an american (despite all the bad stuff we did in the past). I don't know if it aired on canadian t.v, but here we had a series on the history channel called 'america the story of us' and that show.... I don't have words to describe how awesome it was. It highlighted all the major points/periods in american history.
If you choose to live in georgia you should live near me! Of course I will probably have to move away to work for capcom.... I don't know if they have a USA branch, so I/we might have to move to japan >.> ... I don't speak any japanese though. I would like to learn the language mainly because I want to watch and understand my anime better .
I watch the subtitled version of anime too >.> that's just about all you can find on the interwebs .... Not that I would watch it in english; I prefer japanese because the voice actors do a better job.
you do have universal healthcare in canada? Obama was trying something like that here; I don't know the specifics, but a lot of people don't want it. His health care reform did get passed, but it hasn't seemed to affect me much.
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
This video comes from my favorite youtuber, bananapielord, and it's just funny as crap. He's playing a modded version of fire red that has ponies instead of pokemon . I'm not a brony, but I still find this funny; mostly because bananapielord just makes it funny.
This is neji 9889 house. I knew he was an upper tier hunter, but dang...
He did a tour for his subscribers, which I'm one of them, and since we know him from here I thought I'd share it with you guys. Oh, and If you want me to remove this post neji I will
re: Hunter's Tavern - Beware the enraged Barioth/Deviljho!
Hi everyone. I just finished watching one of the best anime series out of all the series I've watched up till now. It's relatively new, but it's a great show. I know this isn't really in the right forum but I don't know anyone from the anime forum and none of you guys seem to browse that place often enough. Anyway the series is called "sword art online" and I heard about it before but I thought it was a literal drawing hub for swords .... but no it's not, it's the best sci-fi/fantasy anime you'll ever watch.
The story begins with a typical guy in his room who just so happens to have a virtual reality helmet. He puts on his helmet and enters into a matrix like MMORPG world built in levels. He stays and makes a friend and when the days' about to close he finds out a shocking truth, he can't log out.... The video game's creator removed the log out feature, tells everyone that if they die in the game they die in real life too. There's 100 levels in the game and the only way to beat it is to basically team up in small armies and take on the area bosses to unlock upper levels. If anyone beats the game then everyone that's trapped inside can leave.
Another thing about this anime is the romance... I know I'm a guy, but this anime took things a bit differently than the others. To me, it didn't feel like some old japanese guy drawing perverted manga/anime all day (don't get me wrong I do like that stuff...sometimes ). They actually made a good love story out of it, and incorporated it into the action that takes place. Why can't they do that in other anime? Imagine if bleach were done like that?
I can say one other thing about this anime (I know I'll get some haters). Still a better love story that twilight, LOL!
Sorry i had to go. Toilet's clogged, laundry room therefore flooded, i play mh3 in the basement, dad unflooded it and sprayed some chemicals on it...Long story short- The smell WILL get me dizzy therefore knocking me out. Shit happens. Once the smells gone i'll play. BUT, Little Nicky just ended, its 50 First Dates right now, and after its Grown Ups...Yeah, Adam Sandler marathon! Soo...Maybe it WILL take a while...
Sounds like it backed up , LOL . After you left Moops had to go and wash her dog, so me and rok did arena quests. I have grace earring, blast earring, and my newest addition: Sword saint earring!
I have a place where I watched it on the web, but I can't mention it's name due to neoseeker's rules about advertising and piracy >.> .... I followed a download link on the website, and you have to pay to download the content (despite being able to watch for free .... I'm pretty sure none of the animators see the money >.< ) . I have a feeling that's not what you meant by downloading the video.
How do you guys like the armor page? http://monsterhunter.neoseeker.com/wiki/Armor_(MH3) It's obviously not finished, but it's the skeleton at least. This is what I have in mind for all Monster hunter games hereafter.
dont wrry :/ im feeling better now its just this one dude is threatening my ex.

They always come back . Hope you can resolve this conflict somehow >.>... I've never had a girlfriend, but to hear about all the drama to comes with one, idk if I'd want one tbh. Let a better man handle it!
I know, I would want to help a girl out if she asked me too, or if I saw her being bullied or sad or something ;~;.... I had a thought and wanted your guys opinions:
I've got a special spot saved for something in the monster hunter tri's armory (on the wiki)for something like this. I've been thinking about getting a page for our mixed sets, and I think(hope) it will boost your interest in the wiki. For one it will be immortalized on the wiki + your user names will be displayed as the creator of that set(optional). Imagine in years to come, you'll happen upon it by accident and have a huge nostalgia moment as you remember.
Well, I won't stop you from adding a set to the list, BUT I haven't created the custom set table yet, and to top it off I'm not good enough to turn it into a template . Just consider this for a moment, a typical set will have 3 skills and 5 pieces to that set, that means there are 3 x 5 =15 editable fields. <- That's just with fixed sets, MIXED sets on the other hand have a nearly unlimited about of skills that may or may not be active on the set >.>....
IF you guys knew a little about wiki coding/editing it would be simple enough to let you have the raw code and run with it. I think that might be headache inducing. Just ask Kirago took him all day to simply color a complex table. He did manage to do it without having dealt with them before, and for that I commend him.
Guess who just got promoted to the monster hunter wiki leader? I would post this in the neowiki discussion but it would be systematically ignored there.
