Anyway to get skills the an armour doesn't directly give you, or enhance a skill your armour already has (Attack Up (S) to Attack Up (M) for example) you can forge and attach decorations to your amour and weapons if they have slots. For example with five Grinder Jewels you could get Speed Sharpner on your armour, or with 5 Perception Jewels you could have Capture Guru.
