.::Farming the Lagiacrus::.

Hello again hunters!, I have recently slain my first Lagiacrus! Though it took me around 46 minutes with the plumeflint! My armour was Jaggi head, Queropecco plate, Barroth Vambraces, Rhenoplos tassets, and Queropecco leggings. I had died twice and almost all my healing items were gone. Now the Question is how can I farm him? Should I use a different weapon? Should I get a little better armour? Should I give Cha-Cha a specific mask or what?! Well Thanks for your time!

I dont really use greatswords, I have yet to obtain any itesm to make longswords yet. anytihng you know about that?

I actually went a different route than others here...I went at the Lagia with a GS and simply couldn't get close enough to him...everytime i'd swing a foward slash, his tail or body parts would push me out of the way causing a huge "swing annnnd WIFF"

I now use spears to take on the Lagia, currently I'm using the Gobulu Maruka spear, although I'd advise you to choose another one with strong damage or sharpness (I really only went the Gobulu Maruka route because the spear looks sweet and its got para abilities)

The reason spears are good for Farming Lagia is because you can rush forward (block + forward/X) and stab 3 times for damage, then block most attacks with little damage. Rinse and repeat. Staying in close proximity to Lagia while being able to dish out quick damage is pretty crucial in getting through Lagia quickly.

Also...I usually Trap/Bomb Lagia twice, just to push through it quicker.

This really is the way to go, if Lagiacrus goes onto land you've got it in the bag, just continually charge, more often than not you'll paralyze him at least twice, don't forget to jab at the end of a charge too.

Sidestepping is also important, but you gotta know whens the best time to sidestep or just block, I've sidestepped into a tail swipe a few times

Cha-Cha should be more than enough of a distraction for him so you can get in a full charge unnoticed

He should go down fairly quickly

Gigginox? Personally, I'd rather use Barroth armor. It gives you Marathon Runner and Adrenaline +1 and has enough slots to allow you to negate Critical Eye -1, while gaining Attack up (M)

First of all your going to need better armor. Try for a full set so you can get some armor skills on you (as previous posters recommended, try using full barroth). Also if possible make a fire weapon as lagi is weak to fire.

On a side note for Barroth, just keep evading his charges. Barroth is weak to water when he has mud on him and weak to fire on parts he doesn't have mud.

I used Gigginox armor, Gobul helm and Lagiacrus vambraces (I read it somewhere) it works great, the second time I killed him I made the mail and waist, and then I captured him with lagi mail,vambraces and waist + Barroth head and legs. I used Chieftain`s GS.
