first i think it could be usefull for answering off line quest questions, it migth be easier than just using a ton of words that dont go anywhere.

let me rephrase then, let say some one is asking about the monster guts mission, on the desert, and they have no idea that the delex are those fishes (as per idiocy o the prgrammers some of the images can be quite missleading) any user can go seek the delex vid of the video thread (or even better people can check the topic before hand and see if his question has already an answer) and post it as an answer, to put an example of where it works different from the tatsunoko vs capcom forum was on the Final fnatasy 8 forum, users always had a vid at hand of where to hunt for some materials, my idea is just make a handy topic where there are several vids for the missions, since explaining some stuff can end being rather hard and confusing, or there is a phrase that can apply here "a pciture is worth a thousand words"

not exactly, you got the gist of it, but for more complex stuff, wthat require a lenghty explanation, and users can also check before hand if there is anything in the topic before they make a question, for example best ways of capturing a rathalos? instead of going trough a long list of tactics, we can use a simple vid for the user to check and try to emulate the tactics, or to show farming tactics, or killing the fast way a monster.

Putting it in a spoilers box doesn't make the data go away, it just puts it out of view.

I still don't see a particular point of a video guides thread, anything that can be viewed can be done first-hand within the game in online play and most require a written explanation along with them.

And again it requires extra work on most people's part because they'd have to make or find a video in the first place. People are welcome to use videos in their answers but compiling them in one thread seems pointless.

I don't see why loading time matters, personally. Haha.

I'm not trying to shoot down your idea or anything Duncan, and it's not my decision, but honestly you don't want to over-complicate anything in the forum. Members can easily start a thread stating their question or difficulties and people will most likely answer. That's the way things are done now and they seem to be working fine, not to mention that it keeps the activity up in the forum a good bit as well.

Look, I get what you're getting at, and I am all for generalization and keeping things organized, but I do think that there is a limit, and honestly that's a bit too much. Things seem to be fine now, and as they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

So you're going to post the results of the MHFU awards in the same thread as the MH3 ones, or are you just going to copy the template?

i have a couple of suggestion, make a thread index with soem fo the important topic (those that actually had some sort of debate, and not the ones with questions) and the coordination thread should be sticked
