I must say I am really impressed with this game |
|
I really was mad about the controller configurations and limitations at first. But after six days I'm still playing, at maybe 16%.
Thing is, the game really does carry on well. The races are just challenging enough, and with a great learning curve. The terrain is always changing, and at a good pace. Plus the option of just cruising (though again, not as fun... but having given that aspect up I feel more free to just enjoy it.) The cop chases are fun for the long drives, and just arcade-ish enough. They don't keep you from getting to the destination, or even slow you down much, but just kinda keep it interesting and fun. This game must be *bleep*ing awesome online. (PS2 not web connected.) I admit, I am pushing along so I can drive the Countach. Been a lifelong dreamcar of mine, and I don't think I've ever played it in a game. Or at least any good game. /blog This message was edited by brycepunk on Jan 15 2008.

Good to hear someone pleased with it. I have the PSP version, so no interior view or any of that, but I was very impressed as well, though it seems like such an underrated game.
Enjoy -------------------

The PS2 version is actually better, you get better graphics and an interior view in your car.
The PSP only lacks features, but it's good for what the PSP can do. Very good. -------------------

I love this game. I played it for a long time and I got like 25% when I decided to sell my cars to see how much money I had left when I bought the McLaren F1 LM. But, of course I didn't notice the autosave

I actually just ordered this game for purchase (after a three-week rental... I'm a moron.) At least it only costs $20 now. If they release an Unlimited for the PS3 with the potential I think they could, I'm going to have to work a lot of overtime to get one.

They won't on PS3. The deal was, they release it on Xbox 360, and then PS2 and PSP because it won't detract from the 360 sales, whereas a PS3 game would.
Probably the sequel will be on PS3 though =] -------------------

Okay, for your first car, get the mustang. It'll be worth it. Use the auto gps to your advantage. Use the easy setting if you have to. Avoid speed and time trial races until you upgrade the mustang for 40,000 (or for free). If you need anymore, ask here, or PM me.
