easy rathalos rubys with longswords

I have found during my hunts an easy way to get rathalos ruby fast

What you need:
10xpotions
10xmega potions
3xlifepowders (optional)
5xflashbombs
10xflashbugs and 10x bomb material(to make more flashes and also optional)
shock trap (trust me they make the job so easy with longswords)
2xtrap tools (to make more shocks)
2x genprey fangs(to make more shocks)
2xtranq bombs(if you intend to catch rathalos)
Extra things i brought (optional):
all combo books
10x lifecrystals
10xwyvern claws
powercharm
armourcharm
power talon
armour talon

Yur equipment:
Any weapon that's really strong
Set with around 380 defense after being upgraded a bit

What i used:
True devil slicer
Obituary set with remobra belt

The battle plan:
1. Take up the quest 'deny the silver rathalos'
2. Once at tower 1 take all supplies you can(i recommend you atke first aid meds, rations and supply flashes
3. Reach zone 10

Ok you're now fighting silversoul (silver rathalos)

Waht i recommend for longswordsmen/women is you first wait for the moment when you can throw a flash bomb. When you find it throw a flash bomb and he'll be stunned. Now you take this time to hack at his wing it dosen't matter which one but try and hit one. A trick i learned here is you do a draw slash, then an overhead slash if you're using longsword and he will flinch. from there you do a triangle + square slash to get away. Now do one slash and he should flinch if the triangle +square slash hit his wing. He will snap out of this eventually so be prepared for that. Avoid his charge attack and wait until that opening again and repeat. Once you are out of flashes to use you keep avoiding his attacks. When he breathes fire is a good opening to get a slash or two in on his wing. Be sure to get away though or you are dead(at least you will lose a load of health) if he deals damage to you use one of your potions or whatever to heal yourself. When he flies up in the air i recommend you get under his shadow becaues no attacks should reach you there. When he comes down you could try and aim a slash at his wing to make him fall or whatever. Optionally you can try and smash his face spikes and his tail off as the tail can give you rubies anyway.Don't forget you have shocks also and you can use them to stun him and get more slashes in on him.

After a lot of this hell for him you may notice him limp every now and again. From here you have two choices.

1. You can continue to fight until he dies so you can carve him

2. You can if you have a shock left and you brought 2 or more tranqs with you catch him which everyone knows catching monsters give you good rewards a lot of the time

Once you have done one of these things congrats you have defeated silver soul. Now you are probably wondering WTF!!!!! I didnt get any ruby out of that. But look in your rewards and you will most likely find a rathalos ruby in there and you probably even got enough stuff to build some silversol armour.

Extra tips:

1. pet your pig cos he gives you a better odd of this working

2. If a felyne you posess has lucky cat try to activate it.

3. Don't bring other people with you who are accustomed to rathian hunts as they will lose the quest very quick. I learned this the hard way

yes i must say it's already been said, and yes also u can do it with GS sword dual sword or lance/gunlance

how does it work with all weapons when a lot of them can't cut tails?
Hmm.... or can they in this game? Do you just have to hammer the tail untill it flinches then boomerang it? I've never tried but have always wondered why non slashing weapons need tails.

im sorry bout it being something everyone knows i thought 4 anyone who needed rubies who may only just be at this kind of level would like this. I would have said things to do with other weapons but longswords are all i can use now
