Spontaneous combustion?

I dunno you but I found this to be reallyyyy funny and sad at the same time. Okay so I just started a new family and put a hottub outside. Some neighbours came by like always and I greeted them all and then they went straight for the hottub. I joined and the temperature of my guys went up (to max), but I've never had anything this bad happen before and I just started this family but when my people came out they started to burn ..and I didn't have a fire alarm outside ..both my sims were on fire and I couldn't estinguish them cuz i couldn't control my neighbours. One of my sims and a neighbour ended up dying ..it was soo sudden. They did't even woohoo in the tub lol. I'm just wondering if anyone had the same or similar experience =] and what happends when your sim turns super cold? And is it just me or do sims die too easily in this game? =o

re: Spontaneous combustion?

They burst into flames when they are too hot. This happened to me before, but luckily mine survived. The warning signs are a red sweaty face and body. Get them inside and drink some juice.
For cold, when they get too cold, they literally freeze and lie still on the ground. They can't move, so eventually they die. Have a heart, and get a sim to warm them up. The warning signs are a cold, blue face and shivering. Get them inside and give them a drink of coffee/hot chocolate.
It's funny though!

re: Spontaneous combustion?

Yeah, Same thing happened to me. My sim was tending her garden, grooming and watering. Well, it was taking forever so I decided to Fast forward (max). My sim got too hot and after grooming a plant caught fire, ran about and eventually fell over dead. Her hubby stared and tried to get around the beautifully decorated backyard. :] Hey at least she died in an oasis.

re: Spontaneous combustion?

That EXACT thing happened to me!
For a while I had no idea why they kept setting on fire!
I kept replacing my hottub thinking that was probably the problem. NOPE.
When ur sims tempurature goes all the way up
they set on fire! And since THEY are on fire
the hottub sets on fire too!
It's funny but like you said, sad too.
(Mostly funny, unless you die)
