Driv3r problem |
|
I have a problem with this game. For the last three months when I try to run the game it will at random lock up my computer. Also from the time I installed the game it will sometimes crash and produce an error. I do know that this game ties up 100% of the processor when it runs. I would run the game on my dad's laptop, but the graphics are very glitchy on the internal ATI video card. Here's the specs of my computer:
Windows XP Home edition Version 2002 SP3 AMD Athalon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ 2.04 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM Abit uGuru K8T800 Pro motherboard I'll post my Hijack This log http://hjt.thegreatchai.com/?log=f531f0ec5b2ebcb945369863d2571c85 Let me know if I have any unnecessary things running. I know that I should build another computer, but I cannot afford it at the moment. This message was edited by Justin McInvale on Jul 13 2008. | |

This game requires a lot of processor power(on mine processor usage stays at 100% until I exit the game)so before running the game ensure only those programs and processes needed to make your computer run are active. If you do turn off stuff like antivirus or antispyware be sure you're not connected to the internet. Would be best to make a separate account on your computer that only loads that which is required for proper operation of the computer and the Driv3r game. Have you tried running the game in 800X600 mode? If I run higher graphics modes which are available for selection in the game it slows the game down considerabily. What graphics card are you running? Also be sure you have the max memory installed that your motherboard can handle.
