What are the ideal specs of a computer to run World of Warcraft well?

2GB of RAM isn't necessarily poor when it comes to WoW, it's actually a very decent amount. The main thing you want to look at is getting a semi decent graphics card to play it comfortably. A mid-range card would do you well on medium settings.

I can recommend some graphics cards if you'd like to share your budget, I don't want to waste time suggesting graphics cards that are outwith your price range. A good $50-70 graphics card will suffice for WoW on "good" settings.

Also, what cpu do you have? Not overly important but it would be ideal if you had a dual core processor.

To handle WoW, all you'd really need is a new graphics card for your computer, the 8300 in your PC the now is really outdated and a week card, a cheap $50 card would be a substantial upgrade for you. Your processor and ram aren't fantastic but would do the job.

If you've got the cash though, go for a full upgrade. A full upgrade would allow you to play on maximum settings (as long as you've got a good gpu). If you're not going to build the PC yourself, make sure the system you do buy has a strong video card. A decent place to see how strong the graphic card is, is PassMark. Allows you to compare your GPU against a whole bunch of others.
