I would have loved to assign a poll to this one but unfortunately I'm not sure how to do that. Anyway as the title says: how many tries did it take you to get a hold of this hideous beauty? I recommend people who are still trying their luck to also post in this thread just to get a feel of how many eggs people have hatched so far.

To those who have no idea of what I'm talking I can tell it's a flying mount obtainable from the Mysterious Egg, which can be purchased from The Oracles in Sholozar Basin once you've reached revered with them.

The drake itself has an approximate drop rate of 1-2% and is 1 of 6 possible drops. However, the egg, once purchased, takes 7 days to hatch, and only one egg can be held at a time. Lots of people choose The Oracles over the counterpart faction - The Frenzyheart Tribe - for this particular mount.

Well, I'm on my twelfth egg and so far no luck. I'm not finished buying eggs till this fella pops out. I know it's all random, but one can always hope.

-13th egg...... Yes, still nada!
-15th egg... Yet just another cobra.
-16th and still no mount. I've gotten 3 white polar bears by now and no proto drake, it's ridiculous

I am now on my 19th egg, and I've really wanted this mount for a long time now. I got revered with The Oracles back in March I believe, so it's about time I got one I think. RNG is a bitch! This Saturday it'll be my last egg until the expansion arrives. I've decided to quit WOW if I do not recieve it by this egg (or the egg just before my subscription ends)! The Green Proto Drake is the only reason I still play this game (It's ridiculous I know. No need to tell me). Blizzard really nailed it this time; having my credit card on continuous pending just for a damn mount!

Okay, been a while since I've edited this one. Anyway here goes:
I still haven't had any luck with the stupid eggs. It's like you want the damn mount so bad and wished they upped the drop-chance, but then again you don't want everyone to have one either.
It's not all bad though. Got a blue proto drake a few weeks back and it's awesome! Not only that. I've had the pleasure of seeing two Time-Lost spawns, unfortunately I didn't get to tag any of em .

I just got the Time-Lost Proto-Drake. Now this (GPD) is the last one of the 'non-achievement' protos I need.

Today I finally received the Green Proto-Drake from my oracle egg. What can I say... I'm speechless. It's sweet as hell!

Luckily I said 'around' September. It was along time ago and I forgot to mark my calender with the date of my first egg but it was before the new year I remember that much.

Hi Dirtyface from Shandris here. Yea I hope to get one of the greens on my 3rd try hopefully. Ehh if not it's okay. I mean who needs one anyways if ya got the time-lost proto drake when you weren't even looking for it. Yep..thats right, just skinning and drooling all over myself and his arms wide open yelling, "Dirty, don't leave!!! I love you! I want to be with you I'm sorry for yelling!" I slowly turn around. I stare at him with a serious look. I start to cry and say, "I forgive you time-lost I love you too". .. as we run toward each other tears jerking. "I missed you my time-lost proto". "I will never leave your side again" We embrace in a dramatic slumber and I weild my crossbow and shoot him over and over with level 75 requirement arrows. I got a red proto that i worked for, been 80 for months and still no green drake from the eggs.
