I'm thinking of playing my warlock again. my warlock is level 54, and last time I checked, had around 160 gold. I'm pretty sure that's a low amount for level 54.

I currently have a toon occaisionally farming stranglekelp and sending the money to my warlock (around 15 gold per stack), and that's one of my warlock's main source of money at the moment. the other is selling mageweave bags.

I'm thinking of getting skinning on my warlock as a gathering proffession to get some money while leveling the warlock, and farming stranglekelp on one of my alts more often for money.

but is there anything else I can do to make more gold faster?

I had about half that when I was that level. I didn't see a reason to need gold though. What do you really need to buy? Honestly? Any armor you get will be replaced come 58/60. Plus questing in Outland gives you so much money.

Basically, continuing with herb gathering, and getting into skinning will get you that bit of extra cash you need.

Ahh yeah, the mount. I`m 64 and still don`t have it. Oh well. I don't even know if I'm going to bother getting it, I'm basically close enough to 70, so I think I'll just start saving up for the flying mount at this point in time.

But yeah, I just powerleveled my herbalism and it's making me quite a bit of money right now.

If you want a lot of money to help a toon out, I suggest you go mining on one of them eventually. I just started from scratch on a new realm a few weeks ago and I have almost 500g on a level 51. No main giving me money, just all made by my own efforts.

Oh, and that's 500g after buying a 120g Bonesnapper and getting a 200g Crusader put on it at level 49.

Let's just say money is not an issue when you have mining.
