When I hit 70 I got geared and now im doing kara weekly. I downloaded all the mods including ventrilo. I set it up a week after my first run. I heared everyone clearly but I didnt talk, since I havnt set my mic or PTT button up yet. Now that I set it up, I went to try my mic out and headphones with the Test feature in the Setup window. It worked fine. I hit Ok then see if I see my speeker icon would turn green when I hold my hotkey. It didnt. I keep wondering why, anybody know whats up?

There should be no reason that the program doesn't sense your keyboard input if it's set correctly, make sure it's on Push to Talk and not trying to detect your voice, and then that you're pressing the right button. It's really obvious, but I've never heard of anyone having this problem before, generally people can get the green light on but no sound to come out.

The only thing I can see that could be the reason that you can't transmit is that you haven't turned PTT on, you have set it up but not activated it.

PTT = Push To Talk... the option for a push to talk key is in the setup, check it on and then click in the textbox, followed by they hotkey you want to bind it to... you have to HOLD the key down while talking not push once.

I have the same prob... When i press (and hold) my PTT key in vent, the icon colour doesnt change, and no one can hear me.

I can hear everyone else though. :S

Make sure Use Direct Input is toggled on under your setup as well... that's what worked for my friend.
