Chapter Seven – Agreement

"Put her down!" Cam ordered, slipping back down the rope and joining Drew on the shore. Both of them had their fists at their ready.

"You're outnumbered, fools!" A tall boy, with blonde surfer hair warned. "There's five of us, and only two of you!"

"You're forgetting somebody..." Hailey choked as she struggled to get out of her enemies headlock. "Buster, attack!"

Out of the bushes, the stocky dog leapt and ran to Cam's side. While Cli'Shay was in shock, Hailey bit her arm, and escaped from the headlock.

"Now, I think you should reconsider your numbers," Drew laughed, taking a small, silver knife from his pocket. "I'm not afraid to hurt you if I have to."

"How dare you challenge the Legacy Clan! You will regret ever trying to steal from us!"

The quartet ran towards Cli'Shay, preparing to jump her.

"Legacy Clan, do your stuff!" She shouted.

Drew was taken by surprise as the blonde haired surfer boy leapt from the side and tackled him to the ground. Luckily, the sand was soft and he wasn't hurt. The boy punched at Drew, but he used his left hand to grab his fist.

"Don't ever do that again!" Drew growled, punching him in the face. He hopped upwards and ran towards the boy, ready to kick him directly in the chest. However, the boy dodged at the last minute, laughing as Drew fell onto the sand again.

"Stay down!" He shouted, trapping him in a headlock.

Meanwhile, Hailey was being subdued by the leader of the pirates, Cli'Shay. It wasn't looking good for her at all! The leader of the Legacy Clan had her down in almost an instant. Cam had been tied to a tree by two other boys, and Buster had been put on a leash by the blonde haired girl.

"You little thieves have no chance against the Legacy Clan! Come on people, let's leave!" Cli'Shay laughed, grabbing the rope and climbing up onto her high ship.

Alice joined her, followed by the boy that had trapped Drew so easily. The two other boys grabbed onto the ropes and the girl pulled up the ropes.

"Untie me, then!" Cam reminded his friends. Hailey ran over to him and cut the ropes with a knife, as Drew looked on as the ship left the shore.

"Great! We're stuck on this stupid island! Forever!" He cursed, kicking the sand.

The leader of the Legacy Clan was looking down at the beach from the top of her ship.

"STOP THE SHIP!"

The thieves looked up cautiously, to see a rope falling down the front of the ship. The velvet-clad captain climbed down, landing a couple of metres away from shore.

"Are you stuck on this island?" Cli'Shay asked, wading through the sea and onto the shore. Hailey walked over to quickly and said "yes, we are! We need off of this place – which is why we tried to take your ship – which we are so sorry about..."

"You do not have to apologize to me," Cli'Shay smiled, "I understand what it feels like to be castaway."

Cli'Shay smiled to the group. "I'm going to strike you a deal. There's a fairly big island not too far from here. You'll probably get a better chance of survival than on this island – it's a lot more civilised."

"Civilised? This place has a king and a queen, I'd say it's pretty much civilised!" Cam pointed out.

"Yes, it does have a king and a queen. They rule over this part of the ocean, but they live on this secluded island. Listen, if you want a better chance of surviving, you'll come with me to the next island over."

"What! You do know that we tried to steal your boat!" Hailey reminded her.

"I'm a forgiving person. Please, just come on the Legacy boat to the next island. That's all I ask."

Cam and Hailey went to object, but Drew stepped forward. "We accept your deal!" He grinned, shaking hands with the captain.

I haven't talked to Kat about this yet, but I've been talking to Drew lately and he'd like it if he could start updating again once the holidays are up. Please remember that Drew should not feel that he's under any pressure at any time. Writing takes a lot of time, and effort - and we have to respect that.
