Hey, I'm in the Palace and I can't get past the flying dinosaur type Folk, I can't avoid it either as the next room is blocked.

If there's one battle I hate, it's against Exedra (and Kraken, coz they have the exact same battle types, though Kraken's absorption mode is easier....)

You need two folks in particular...firstly Gargantua, and secondly Volcano. Having Patriot is optional, highly recommended but optional. Now firstly start by getting close to it (without being damaged) and use gargantua. Two direct shots and it should crumble to the floor. When it does that, simply use Volcano to deal damage to it (it's ice type, so fire enemies do the most damage, and it's got a pretty small MC Cost in comparison to the damage it deals).

You'll have to do this around 3-4 times maybe even more (yes it's an extremely long winded battle). Use Patriot as often as you can to block it's attacks, especially the icicles poping up, since it protects you from it, and your health is extremely important in this battle.

Now once you've gotten it's ID to show up, you have a timed absorption, which is the most annoying thing since the bar is extremely long, and it only increase by a tiny amount. Took me 3 tries to capture this Folk - and that's three tries at the timed absorption

Kraken is slightly easier in that it's got a Balance absorption mode

u just have to get beneath exedra's wings when he stops gliding...i used gargantua to knock him down and hinky-punk to flame him...had to repeat the same pattern of movement 4 times to get his ID but its worth it. did the same for kraken; but i found that he is easier to knock down (used gargantua and durandal for a long-range flame).
