	Well, I have been searching, too, and all I found was a site where a guy spends his time trying to get old games to work on XP. It appears that Amber is on his "The Works in Progress List", which means that he hasn't totally given up on it yet and is still trying to figure out a way to get it to work on XP. 	Got the game today was hoping to make it work but it's not working. Same error, first Script error: Handler not defined #Movutils and if I click continue I get a black screen after a second similar error. On the game boomer forum I found a recend Tread (2 days old) telling that they still did not find a solution for XP. I suppose the problem comes from the old quicktimes and it's interaction with the XP system. The quicktimes is working but for some reasons the game is unable to use it. Someone suggested the a new and old version of quick time could interfere. So he said you neded to delete all files and reg lines of the new qt reboot and try to reinstall the old one. (But this could still don't work because of some other problems between XP and old QT or perhaps the problem comes from something else) If there is anybody there with a freshly installed clean XP, (no quicktimes on it and never had one, as uninstall may leave some files/reglines behind) it would be interestring to try installing Amber and it's quicktimes again to see what happens.

	THIS GAME WILL NOT-- ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT RUN ON XP. No way. No how. I finally went to the Salvation Army and bought an old computer for $24 with Windows 98 on it. The game then worked perfectly. A great game, not really long, but it has that certain SOMETHING. It just goes to show you how sounds, and feel really make a game. The rendering is movement of this game is a bit dated-- but that is the CHARM of this game. I first played it years ago, and got curious, so got a $24 Win98 to do it again. WORTH IT! A lot of fun, not too hard. I especially liked the radio sequences.... really put me in another place. So- go to the Salvation Army-- PS, Do not try to set up your computer to double boot with 98 and another operating system. 98 has to go on the C drive-. 	Thanks, Neil, that's certain;y one way of dealing with the problem. I had put this out of my mind, but your post reminds me that I now have a second hard drive. I'll try installing Win98 and run 'Amber'. Unfortunately, that won't help the rest of us. Thanks.

	Have you guys tried setting the compatability to win 98?It may or may not help.Some games like Amber and Morpheus have to use old versions(3.0)of quicktime.HTH.

	Well, here it is October of 2006, and this is still a problem for those of us who recently bought a version of Amber. I Have tried just about everything so far, and nothing seems to work. Am I stuck with a lemon? Bought it used, but PLEASE! Should be a way, somehow, to get this to work!

	I have found a very good site that enables you to download some fixes for these games.I was able to play Zork after not being able to for fours years.
