TWEWY has always had some pretty bold character designs, so I'd say that if they were to introduce a second Piggy into the series, it would have a heavier visual distinction. Lets look at it like this: When designing a character, looking at the sillouette is one of the most important steps. If the sillouette cannot be recognized as a particular character, it's back to drawing board. This Mr. Mew is not different enough to warrant me believing it is an entirely different thing. That said, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it turned out to be another iteration or something. Say that this game takes place when all the original kids are grown up and likely famous in whatever line of work they took on, maybe Mr. Mew was mass produced. -------------------

And it'd make sense from a story standpoint that the original kids would go on to be great at their creative passions, since Neku's Imagination is off the charts and if I remember correctly, Mr. H mentioned that people with high Imagination will just kind of naturally spread it to others. Or something like that. (Plus they've all come into contact with CAT and his work so much that their Imaginations would probably be off the charts anyway just from that. 	See look at that, she's wearing Lapin Angelique. Why would the D+B and J of the M wearing Shiki and Neku have a Lapin Angelique kid? Oxen and Monkey's do not make Rabbits. I find it pretty hard to believe such a major piece of artwork would get by with a 'mistake'. That and I see no reason for this girl to be holding Mr. Mew. First off, we have no idea if the skirt is intentionally based off of Lapin Angelique or if it's just a coincidence. Notice how her shirt doesn't look like something LA would make. Second, Shiki never actually wore D+B (see above). Lastly, you're forgetting that children usually don't have the same fashion styles as their parents. Ask nearly any mom and she'll confirm. Keep in mind that the iOS port has updated graphics; maybe this is just what the new Mr. Mew looks like. Here's a comparison chart of the many different Mews. Now here's an image comparing the new one to the original one. It shows that he's missing one mouth line thing, his tail is more spikey, and he's black. Mystery mew could be an "aged" Mr. Mew because when stuff animals get "older" they do tend to fray and loose parts. Which could example the more spikey tail and missing mouth piece. BUT it doesn't explain why Mr. Mew would have turned into a darker shade. As you can see in the first chart, regardless of what game Mr. Mew has appeared in he's always maintained a certain shade of blackish brown. But he could just be darker because nomura could have just changed him. So in short, the Mystery Mew has a chance of being the original one. With logical reasoning as to why. But then again nomura could have just gotten lazy and took the original design and made slight changes and made a new cat. Edit: Sep 02, 12 1:10pm

	Okay, after taking another look at the picture, I've modified my stance. BUT IT'S NOT BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPID NOSE AND STUPID TAIL. New Mew has claws. How'd you non-believers miss the claws? So now I'm guessing he's a Mew Shiki made New Girl as a present or something. Because I doubt the game's going to jump 20 years into the future, especially since its supposed to be very modern. Edit: actually those could be fingers... Regardless, I have as much evidence that New Mew has claws that you do that Mr Mew isn't Mr Mew. So... Yeah. Take that. -------------------

Me gusta :3 Of course, now I can't get the idea of Mr. Mewtwo having psychic powers and going all RAAAAARGH on Shibuya XD Also: The 'darker shade' on Mr. Mew2 could just be because that part is in the shade. The original Mr. Mew art has no darker shading, so you can assume it's because the light is hitting ALL of Mr. Mew. But on Mr. Mew2, the light is only hitting the head, so the darker shade is just shading that wasn't present on the original. Also, the girl should be Redphones imo. Even though I think her real name is probably going to be Kyoku or Kashi (Japanese words for Lyric and Tune, not sure which is which x.x).
