Old Man Rush
Point: Rush using Elephants
Setup: Build an Elephant immediately and build supply pads and a barracks for researching New Blood.
Weakness: Being scouted by their early warthog, counter Attacks on your base, MAC blast, Spartan hijack, Spartan Cryo-jack, flamers, turrets, tanks, covenant leaders, every tech 0 Covenant unit including Ghosts.
It's not a good idea.
My own creation, the Ghost Rush.
Leader: Prophet or Arbiter.
Order of events.
- Temple
- Send ghost out for supplies
- Send Arbiter out for supplies or straight to the enemy base if Prophet
- Factory
- Research Boosted Ram
- Delete Temple
- Pump Ghosts
- Warehouse
- Leader should arrive at their base now.
- You should have 4-6 ghosts, depending on how rich the map was with crates.
- Continuously build ghosts and warehouses.
- If he has Warthogs: Use the ghosts, but don't Ram.
- If he has Infantry: Use the ghosts, but don't Ram into large groups.
- If you did this to an Arbiter or Brute player: You have down-syndrome, snap your disc in half and stop playing.
- If he has Turrets: Send in the arbiter to take the turret damage, then use the ghosts as backup.
- Use the incredible mass of ghosts you have to keep watch on all sides of his base for buildings and turrets being built.
- If you did this to a Prophet, target him with the ghosts and move them constantly.
- If the prophet has Blessed Immolation, wait until you have 6-7 ghosts or more.
This is a do or die strategy. If you screw it up by letting him get out a tank, get to many turrets or your leader dies, you WILL lose because you scrapped your temple.
